Because those are two different types of games, but still true, a crappy game is a crappy game. I like Superman Returns, you like Gears of War, I don't like Gears of War, you don't like Superman Returns.
Right. They're two completely different games. One is an excellent shooter game with wonderful graphics, wide range of weaponry, excellent online gameplay, and a challenging campaign while the other one is a piece of crap movie based game which doesn't improve much at all over Superman 64 with graphics that are horrible and too much space with not enough to do.
Not fair to judge all games like Gears of War.
rented it, played it through and got everything bar the kittens and bizarro's time trial thingy...
i don't think the game is quite the train wreck that people say it is, but it should have been alot better, trust ea to f*ck up a license like that...
all it would have taken to make it better is a few minor tweaks...
needless to say i wont be buying it...

I wouldent say Gears' online play is "Excellent" I'd say its pretty good at best.
Yeah. EA got "Superman Returns" half right. The game sucks but when Superman soars it's perfect.
If only the game play itself was as good as the games' in-flight system we'd have the perfect Superman game on a next gen system.
But for now, and hopefully, this Superman game will raise the bar on other future Superman games, for the better. And I'll be waiting.
Well well, Superman returns. Im gonna start off by saying i spent the first hour of this game just flying around Metropolis and I have to say they got his flight spot on, i love it, its like when spiderman 2 came out swinging round new york was so much fun STOP. (rofl i go on to much fs). So yea i love how he gets faster and those sexy sonic booms send shivers down my spine. Now for the game rolflflf where to start, im not gonna let my superman lovin side take over, it realy was shit. The story missions where all fuked up. One minute mr mxyplx guy appears next minute ur freezin dragons and burnin robots. It felt sort of random and the Superman model looks gay. His powers didnt work on half the enemys and u find ur only able to freeze or burn them but do not fear you can always blow them a few miles up city which just means u chasing them about metropolis as it doesnt fukin damage them so ur only hope is that they land in water -.-
The aerial combat is just so glitchy that you could be mistaken in thinking that superman can now teleport. But he does have a few nice combos (on the ground) and i especialy love teh SPEED BLITZ though even that dissapoints. And Metropolis is just so fukin god dam fuk man it looks like its made out of carboard with Superman flying at supersonic speeds u think he would go rite through a building instead he just leaves a wee dent in the side of it rofls.
Things i do like about the game, numero uno has to be the flight/superspeed, how u unlock combos and ur energy attacks get stronger with exp and the golden age supes costumes pawns the shit out of BRANDON. But ignoring all that I do enjoy flying around pawnin robots and weird clone things and blowing cars miles up in the sky lol how ever if your not a Superman fan, dont buy this game.
Superman Returns: The game I love to hate 😄

Gears Of War Online is pretty damn good, especially online co-op.
Yes this is true, the co-op is bay far the most interesting part of Gears' multiplayer experience (and arguably overall experience, I personally enjoy this game with another person more then I enjoyed the single player by myself). However, the regular "Deathmatch" online I find to be fun in short bursts, but it gets old pretty fast IMO, mostly due to lack of game options. It ends up being the EXACT same thing over and over and over, which is annoying.

That's similiar to most online games.
I like Gears Of War online because its not soo hectic. It's all about the strategy of it.
Inner, maybe you got the wrong person. Overall, the demo sucked ass. Everything about the game was bad. No redeeming features at all. The only thing that was decent is the ability to fly really high.
I'm not saying the Multiplayer in Gears is Bad, its very fun, but it only works for me in short bursts, no more then an hour at a time. If I played online in Gears for that long I'd be bored out of my mind. But for short bursts its pretty fun. The Single player is far far better then the online deathmatch, especially the co-op (on and offline), which is IMO THE best co-op ever put in a game.

See some familiar users from ages past, though how the **** did this game get compared to Gears of War?
Returns was okay to around average. Not that much better than Superman 64 though. The flight gameplay was fun, but after fighting Mongol or so the game gives you no indication on where the **** you're supposed to go to progress. And the "final boss" from what I heard, was what? A tornado or some twister? lol
To say it's on par with Hulk Ultimate Destruction is probably too generous.

A full Open World.
The combat is satisfying.
