"Let's hope so. I don't know what we'll do without the Last Laugh."

Hours pass...

Vasilik brings the convoy of you guys to a halt. He sniffs the air, and smiles.

"Now," he says, "it is your friends who are the hunted..."

---

Kyle and Eerin, you guys have had to put up with hours of cacophony as raptors are swarming all around, tearing bits off the ship trying to get to you. Those bulkheads are designed to take small meteor strikes, but you aren;t sure if they are going to last.

(Great. We went from Jurrasic Park to Aliens. I just hope we don't move on to Predator and the Raptors start exploding.)

"Man, these things are persistent. You'd think after a little while they'd figure that food was easier to get out in the jungle. Unless maybe they're just mad at us now. That's a scary thought, an animal like that bent on revenge. I mean, if they keep it up, it doesn't sound like there will be much ship to salvage. Dammit." he looks at Eerin. "Do you think we should move? If we don't make any noise, maybe if they break through they'll think we're gone."

Rhys looks at Vasilik, confused for a moment until realization dawns on him. "Kyle and Eerin? They survived? They're around here?"

"The Raptors are on the hunt, and we are near the co-ordinates you have. It can only be them."

(Huh. And here I though Vasilisk knew what Raptors hunting a bug and a human inside a crashed ship smells like! 😛 )

"We've got to rescue them, then! You can track them from here, right?"

"[I don't think we should move]," Eerin replies, quietly. "[They can smell us, I'm almost sure]."

"Well, I guess it wouldn't be hard. Neither of us have had time for a shower since fighting for our lives." he sighs. "What should we do? Wait to see who finds us first, our friends, the Imps or these raptors? I know who I'm rooting for. You know what? It's going to take a lot of paint to get this ship looking good again." After crashing and getting chewed on, Kyle's a little rattled. He just keeps talking."I just realised something, I'm hungry. Wonder if the raptors found the survival rations yet. Nah, they wouldn't eat them. We're much softer, and much much fresher. And more filling..." He just keeps rambling on.

"In the next clearing along..." says Vasilik, dismounting from his skiff.

"Would the skiffs be of any use?" Sasha asks.

"He's dismounting, so probably not," Scarlet comments as she brings her skiff to a halt and hops down, spinning the dual blasters from their holsters. "Let's get in there."

Vasilik hops into the undergrowth and promptly disappears; I'll need a plan from the rest of you.

I suggest we surround the clearing and then move in to handle the Raptors. That way we come from every direction with guns blazing...

... no other planning at all?

Looks like you might be doing this solo, Brit!

The hell she is!

Brit's plan works for me.

Yeah, I really can't think of a plan beyond surround and kill and try not to be surrounded ourselves, but Rhys will definitely be contributing.

Well, it would be bloody awkward to use the walkers against the wall before the shield is down. You doubt they will try.

And, well, you would have thought so.

Okay, so the walkers are not a threat before the shield is down...but then they can't take down the walls if they can't get through the shield.

Would the Imperials have an alternative method to getting inside the City? Sounds like the shields need to be down.

Uhh, the skiffs have big ass guns on them, I say we take them with us.
I also say we stick together.
If the raptors run away, fine, We don't have to kill them all, we just have to save Kyle and Eerin.

The skiffs make noise. Also very hard to bring through the foliage between you and the clearing.

Galahad- well, yuo don't know. In theory the walls could be scaled. They'd WANT them downed, though.
