Seeing as Galahad is the local Warfare skill-user...

Assuming the Imperials will be marching into the City, can Galahad make a Warfare roll to judge where and how they would be getting in and the best ways to go about doing so?

That's not very complicated. They'll attack the walls at the weakest points- the gates. You cannot think of a reason why they would not surround the city and attack at all sides.

But they'll desperately want that shield down.

Might they lay siege to the City? Or would that not be very effective against the Osokans?

Can Galahad judge how they would get the shield down? We can always have it protected from anyone intending to blast it apart from the ground, not that any individual would have that kind of firepower with them.

They might but it would take months. The Imperials won't be working to that timetable, if you are any judge of the Emperor.

No, hard to tell how they will want to do it, really.

Ok, we need to start planning, so here's my two cents. First, distribute any weapons we have. Concentrate defences at all gates, but don't leave any section of wall without at least someone to keep an eye on it. We don't want any surprises, so we either need bodies or cameras covering as much wall as we can. Also, knowing the shield generator is their primary target, it needs the best defense we can muster. I recommend it's is all or most of our group along with some of Drakkon's finest. We need to brainstorm on ways they might take it out, so we can be prepared there. Anything else we can do?)

I agree, we should issue the weapons once the ordeal with the Commissar is finished. Arm as many Osokans as we can.

All Osokans with blasters should be set on the walls, so that they can fire down on the approaching army, and I believe we should have an even coating of Osokans all over the walls, except for in places where they cannot hit stormtroopers at too great a distance.

Then, we should have all Osokans that are unarmed waiting at the gates, ready to maul their opponents...

(I don't think you'll find an unarmed Osokan anywhere, so we should be good there. Also, I see no reason to wait any longer to distribute the weapons. War is upon us, we cannot delay anything. Not one part of our mission(s) here. Time's up, we play or pay.)

I have a feeling we are not going to have much control over the osokans...
I would LOVE to find an ingenious way to take out an At-AT or at least and At-ST...
Because they are going to send them straight at the shield generator, and we need that to hold so they cannot directly attack the city.

Well, to get any walkers at the generator they're gonna have to get through the city walls first...

(Yeah, doubt they have any trouble getting through the walls. The AT-AT's at least. I hat to draw a parallel to serious real-life events into a game like this, BUT. Maybe we can come up with some kind of improvised explosive device that could hurt an AT-AT if it stepped on it, or in some way triggered it. I don't think we had any mines, did we? I know it's going to be darn powerful anyhow, judging by the films.
The other idea is to string heavy cables (tow cables?) across the main streets to trip them up. No idea if we have that kind of time. I bet preparation will need to be held to a minimum at this point.)

Ush, exactly how strong ARE the walls? Are the AT-ATs gonna cut through it like paper, or what?

Hell no, those things are biiiiiiiiiiig.

You'd need something more than improvised to hurt an AT-AT.

We just need to make sure that the shields stay up indefinitely and, if we can help it, keep them out of the City. The entire population of Lanzar City is fighting, we have millions, they have thousands...

What is the situation with the Commissar currently? Any news?

And Galahad agrees that they should not wait. Weapon distribution will begin as soon as we are able to start it.

Looks like they got out of there.

Most unfortunate...

How useful would walkers be within the City? Are the gates big enough to allow the AT-ATs access?

Oh, useless. It's troop work or nothing in there.

That's good news! Still, we don't want them in the City. If we managed to fight of the stormtroopers, we'd still be shieldless, and an orbital bombardment would be an easy fix to that problem...

Rather like trying to level the city with artillery, bombardment is a poor way to take and hold anywhere. You fimnd people a lot more survivable than you expect. It's why they would win any siege, because they have all the heavy equipment and you have none, but they'll want to storm the place.

It's certainly a hefty task, but they do have the training to do it. Depends how things are set-up.

There is a riot in the city. Stormtroopers are the target.

"[Let them riot, I say]," Eerin says. "[They're just doing a job we would have done later.]"
