USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

(It occurs to me that an orbital bombardment would really suck right now. Just a thought.)

"We have to keep moving," Sasha says. "Otherwise they'll provide overwhelming numbers by the time we get to our destination..."

Sasha fires at stormtroopers covering the fifth hole. Snapped attacks.

"[Shut up and attack, General!]" Eerin shouts back, his clicking indicating a tone of mocking and laughter.

Coll shouts something back to Drkakon about cowardice in return.

History will judge this comment as a bad idea.

Drakkon levels his hunting knife at Coll and yells out orders in Osokan.

Eerin will not launch a rocket at Coll; he wants to see what Drakkon's plan is before he does anything that may harm it.

"See ya, Coll! Hope you enjoyed your life!" Kyle taunts the unlucky General, laughing. He releases a double burst of energy from his blaster at Janthis. "You're next!"

Scarlet wishes she was there to witness whatever destruction of Imperial flesh Drakkon is about to commit.

As the Imperials continue their attempted envelopment of the pyramid- only frustrated to the east, where Osokan-held buildings can still fire upon Imperials rying to gather there- the tempo of play is all down to Drakkon.

After his shouted orders, his people are about to mvoe, but he checks them with a gesture.

Fire still blasts into the pyramid; a couple of Osokans are blwon down and debris showers all over Drakkon as he talks, now in Basic.

"You feel you have won something today, General. A great victory. You are mistaken."

Coll has actually shot Drakkon during this exchange. Drakkon has not evewn glanced down, as the wound closes.

"I am Drakkon, Guildmaster of Lanzar. I was taught by Rogan, and made my name in the killing fields, and took upon the sacred trust of Kileen. By all those sacred powers invested in me, I declare this: Today is the day the Empire is defeated. For people will see this moment... and they will remember.

"And the simple of their rememberance shall be..." Drakkon raises his weapon at you again, Coll. "YOUR HEAD!"

He swipes his kinfe forwards. The Osokans all give a mighty scream as well... and charge.

And Drakkon and his bodyguard are charging too- and they are heading straight for Coll.

Eerin is not missing his chance to join this. Eerin sets down his rocket launcher and swings out his halberd, charging alongside Drakkon.

I;ver broken otu of frames for now to mvoe the narrative along, though we may return soon.

In that same spirit, Sash and co have fought their way onto the net hole, under heavy fire, when a small miracle happens.

The bombardment stops. That makes your way on much easier, though the troopers are still firing.

"It stopped!" Scarlet remarks. "It stopped raining explosives!"

Yes! They'd have to be insane to order that!

Seriously, I didn't make that happen. Imperials have ordered it.

"I'm really glad, but really confused," Sasha comments, "but let's focus on the task at hand. Kill the stormtroopers!"

Rhys fires his blaster a few times, cheering the charging Osokans on.

"Yeeeeaaahoo! We will never back down!" He grins fiercely at Kyle.

Oh wow...

Galahad likely notices that the bombardment has ceased, and proceeds to make his way closer to the remains of the Guild Hall, to reunite with Sasha and Scarlet when they have completed their task.

My main concern was that Galahad might have been blasted apart in the bombardment just wandering around.

Cassius smiles. Battle charges are not unfamiliar to him. He does not take part in the rushing, that is something for common soldiers to do, and the blood-lusted Osokans. He strides forward with purpose, although he does shift his targeting back to Rylis...

Kyle watches the charge in awe, with maybe a touch of pity for the General. Maybe. "Go get'em Eerin!" he cheers his friend on, but stays behind. Kyle isn't much of a hand to hand fighter. Not agains that kind of crowd anyhow. He stay where he is and continues to harass Janthis with fire.

Ok, so, what we have here now is a far more chaotic melee with some people being a little more on the sidelines.

I know some of you submitted actions but best to do so again now you see the situation framewise.

Six frames between Pit and not-pit. Drakkon and co are moving basewards ASAP.

So, let's hear it!
