USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

"Three of them," says Drakkon.

From his belt, he opens a bag and removes a sizeable chunk of meat, attached to a piece of leather. He dangles meat over the edge of the pit.

"Watch your step," he says, and you swear he's mocking.

Galahad raises an eyebrow in curiosity and looks to Sasha for a moment before positioning himself behind Drakkon.

Scarlet, feeling a bit daring, tries to find a balanced footing before looking over into the pit.

With another flash, the raptor leaps up for the meat. but with an incredibly expert flick, Drakkon JUST manages to yank up the meat out of the way.

Of course- just like a whip.

"Amazing creatures..." he says, with almost glossed over eyes, and slightly disturbingy, eh seems to be speaking with pride, almost paternal. "One of those can kill even an Osokan inside 15 seconds. Their metabolism allows them to eat several times theitr body weight in meat every day if they want to. They don't need to; they just sometimes feel like it. They are disciplined and smart. They stalk and kill carefully, but if a target is too big for them, they fight in packs and share evenly." He shakes his head, marvelling, giving another twist of the meat as the raptor leaps for it again. "Oh, and they never give up. Oh yes... everyhting worthwhile we ever learned, we learned from the raptors."

He flicks the meat back to his hand.

"And you know something? No matter how much we keep these ones hungry, they never attack each other. Now, doesn't that say something about 'civilised' life forms?"

He turns back to you.

"I'm also impressed by the people who built this place. I imagine quite a few died getting the height right. You're right, though; Matadan IS there. Or what's left of him. But he deserved all he got. A raptor that stupid would never live."

He starts to make his way back down, leaving you guys rather shocked behind him.

"Do be careful," he says. "They've been known to escape sometimes."

Scarlet watches the raptors circle around in the Justice Pit a few more times before stepping back.

"Looks like Matadan would have been shredded under those fifteen seconds Drakkon mentioned..." she says, backing up to where Galahad is standing.

The Imperials will not like this... Galahad thinks.

"Do the Senators know, my friend?" Galahad asks Drakkon.

"Hardly kept it a secret," Drakkon calls back. He also unclips the whip from his belt and holds it up as he continues downwards. "And lady... certainly without this he was..."

"Did Andran find any fault with it?"

Scarlet smirks at Drakkon.

"I like the way you think, Drakkon..." she says, casting one glance back at the Justice Pit before following Drakkon down the steps carefully.

Drakkon has a surprising turn of pace on him, and you are being left behind, Galahad. You feel like that he thinks he is done with the situation as it stands.

"He mentioned something about the technicalities of a trial, and it not exactly counting if a bunch of people just dragged him up here and threw him in the night I took the Guild Hall. It didn't seem very interesting."

"I see," Galahad says, trying to pick up the pace so that he is not left on the edge of a pit alone.

"Have fun in the city, Senator," says Drakkon. "Feel free to keep in touch."

Time for a little bit of reflection from you guys. What do you all think?

Galahad nods to Drakkon as he leaves.

"Will do, Guildmaster..."

I feel we've established a very frail friendship with Drakkon, which we can hopefully strengthen. Also, I feel that Drakkon's a tad...blunt. He's very straightforward with everything we've talked about.

Also, the Imperials might find fault with Drakkon on the grounds of Matadan's 'execution.'

I also feel that those raptors would be useful against the stormtroopers...

Find fault? Matadan was an elected leader. Under the emergency laws that still operate in the Empire, leading a violent movement that overthrows and kills the legimitate leader of an Imperial world is... well, that's basically war.

Ok, well i've been watching you play around with the Guildmaster for a couple of days and have decided to dive in. Not sure about the post format but i'm sure you can figure out which parts are OOC and which are not. I'm still not exactly sure why I would be here or what cargo I am delivering, but thats what Ush is here for right? 😛

Overhead the most jumbled up frieghter you have everseen wizzes by. Using repulsor fields no less, infact if it weren't for the huge ion engines sticking out of the back you wouldn't know if it was actually capable of space travel or just a very large speeder. But having ground manouvering has often come in useful when unloading or loading. But those are stories for another times.

Marlookooneeweestee opens the side hatch of the cockpit and leans out, recognising the senator as the registered recipient for his shipment.

"Where do you want the load?" He calls out in basic, from about 2 meters above and 20 meters to the side of the groups current location.
"and do you know where I can get some help with repairs. All my engines just failed, but you should have seen these babies when they all fired up on exiting hyperspace." He said, face beaming with excitement as he indicated to the incredibly oversized engines.
"Woowee! Still all out of action now of course. Burned themselves out poor things, and the regs(regular) engines too. Nothing a half-decent mechanic shouldn't be able to handle, still for now i'm left on repulsors."

The rest of the group still had no idea who this purple furred alien might be, nor what "the load" was.

EDIT: How did I do?
If I can't start with a "shipment" of use perhaps just make it military ration bars or something. I don't always trade in the exotic. It's just my preference

There's actually a load of weapons that the Duchess ordered earlier that you could be bringing.

(We probably know that you're Marlu, Squib, otherwise you probably wouldn't be here on the mission with us... 😗 )

Anyways, I like how Drakkon runs Lanzar. The Imperials might not, but we don't like them anyways.

"Hello, Marlu," Scarlet says, nonplussed. "Took you long enough to get here."

You would have to do this exchange at the starport, though, You wouldn't get landing clearance elsewhere.

Eerin lumbers along, unlike most Geonosians. He makes a few agitated clicks as he walks.

"[Rather barbaric, that Drakkon, but whatever works for him,]" Eerin says.

(Good to see we've made it past the talking part where I am not so useful...)

"I'll say," Sasha says. "I've never been somewhere such as this." The outlandishness of Lanzar had not reached Sasha before seeing the Justice Pit.

"Ah, Marlu, you've brought the equipment!"

(btw...due to my miscalculations and the fact that Naboo women seem to be well past puberty by 14...Sasha is around 15 or 16...)
