USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

"You speak of words, Senator, but I judge by actions. Their actions are clearly those of invaders!"

Chance to score brownie points here, Galahad.

EDIT - by player...

No good, I am afraid. Drakkon was talking of the Empire's actions and why he should not interpret them as immediate invasion. If you haven;t convinced him otherwise then an argument saying he is inviting war would seem meaningless to him.

Ah...

"These actions they have made are unprovoked and sudden, and it seems to me that, while they would like nothing more than to march on Lanzar City and obliterate your people, they cannot yet. They are merely preparing for their next actions...actions which they may never be allowed to execute as long as the Senate is present."

"In addition, your treaties with Andran still stand, and to violate the current peace would be dreadful for them. Commissar Esgabath has not bypassed the problems we have presented for him with your treaties and such, and so either Andran would have him dishonorably discharged or the Emperor would have his head. Such a man as Esgabath is, I doubt he would want either."

I'm afraid I can't actually permit a second stab at that one; that would detract from the gaming part of the whole deal.

"If the Imperials meant for immediate attack," says Andran, "they would have done so as soon as their fleet made orbit. Not given you a chance to raise your shield and prepare your defences, and most certainly they would not have sent that Commissar to make his intentions plain here. Their objective remains the same; they seek to upset my mission."

Ah, okay. No brownie points for Galahad...

"Andran speaks true. If they had planned to attack upon arrival, they would have aimed to obliterate Lanzar City through orbital bombing, targeting the shield generator and then your Lodge."

"Then what am I to do?" says Drakkon.

"Wait," says Andran. "Don't provoke them. We need to find out what exactly it is that they have done."

"Once we do, then you should decide your course of action. If they will not adhere to words, then you can arm your people."

Ok, Drakkon is going to hold off for now.

Rebel players, though, you have pressing matters being ignored! I also get the idea that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing at this point.

(Well, I think Rhys, Sasha, Eerin and I are waiting to see what's happening at the starport with the weapons so we can move on to other things. Or are the goods distributed?)

As things stand, it is going to be a massive Imperial victory.

We're getting rid of Kyle's gear, and Galahad has handled the situation with the Imperial landing and Drakkon's view of it, and Sasha can't understand Osokan or she would ensure things at the other loading site.

Are there other pressing matters? 😑

Also, we should probably be setting up our toys that we have.

Well, there are three things you listed there, and I would only count one as settled.

Sasha will leave Kyle and gang to handle the dealing out of equipment, leaving instructions to keep their own toys (disruptor rifles, blaster noise speakers, Gungan energy balls but not the catapults) secure in hidden hatches or something.

Sasha will then seek out the Senatorial group in the starport.

There is only so much you can do in the hour. What is the distribution plan?

And there really is a coordination problem here, still.

Could the coordination problem be helped if I contacted Galahad and informed him what is happening?

(Coordination: Sasha call Galahad and tell him to tell Drakkon about the equipment we're handing out. Tell Drakkon to send down whoever he wants to get this stuff, and quickly. Politics or not we need to get ready for the fight. There WILL BE a fight.)

(Good call)

Sasha will contact Galahad and relay this information and request him to organize this with Drakkon.

(I'm sure there's other coordination we need to do, but that's just what come to me after Ush's posts. We should probably figure out something specific for defense. AND had Galahad ever told anyone about the special mission. We still DEFINITELY need to get that one in.)

(I think the secret mission is the least of our problems right now...)
