"The only reason a ship from the Imps could have for not coming straight to the city is troops. Stormies popping out all over the port would cause backlash and fighting, but out in the jungle they can come in blasting before they're even seen. I think the invasion is already started."

Ush, if you're allowed to tell me, am I on target, or just overeager for battle?

A small ship couldn't carry many men. Why land a group of grunts in the Jungle?

Well my first guess would be to clear an area so that the real forces could land. The Empire is annoying, not stupid. If a small amount of stormies can make a landing site and sate a few beasts' appetites at the same time, all the better for when everyone else piles out.

It could indeed be a scouting party. It can't be easy to pick out good landing locations from up there.

"Well, maybe we should go check it out. Not that i want to go out into the jungle, but someone has to. Hmm. Why don't we take the Last Laugh?"

"Yeah, I'd rather have your ship instead of my boltbucket over that jungle. Plus, Sasha wants to meet us at the Last Laugh anyway. Let's hurry."

Oh, and hooray for sudden realizations popping into my head at the last minute.

As they head of for the Last Laugh, Kyle chuckles. "Hehe, I forgot she wanted to meet us. Oh well, we're ending up there anyhow. Besides, I have a bad feeling about this whole thing."

I'm not entirely sure what your plan is there, guys...

(Well, the Dutchess wanted to meet us there about the whole weapons smuggling thing, and after that we were planning on flying out to scout that mysterious craft that came down from the Imperial fleet.)

Do you actually have any idea how you are going to do the second part?

(Ah, good point. I guess we'd need to know about where it landed, wouldn't we? Anyone have any ideas?)

It seems that events are starting to overtake you guys anyway. Andran is receiving an urgent call from his ship, at which point he recalls all the Senators from the starport.

Perhaps Sasha should ask Drakkon where the gear in Kyle's and Rhys's ships should be placed for safe keeping?

"We're getting reports of heavy vehicle activity from the taskforce," says Andran. "But with the Lanzar sensors not very sophistivated- and not covering large areas of the planet, because the wildlife would simply eat the sensors- and with our ships on the ground, it's taking a little time to work out what is what."

"Perhaps I could send some friends of my to make some passes to see what is what and relay images back?" Galahad asks. "Or would that be too risky?"

"That would be a good way for your friends to get shot down," says Andran. "If those are troop manoeuvres they will be supported."

He listens to some more communications.

"We're getting some readings. It seems very likely that the Star Destroyers have dispatched all their landing craft."
