USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Bastard...

I take it I'm not close enough to use my flamer.

Oh well, I'll just continue shooting at and dodging Kyle. He got lucky, that's all. If I could take cover amongst the troopers that'd be neat, too. And negate his Eagle Eye against my armor...

(and I'm pretty sure we've pulled off dropping a pig with one attack with a lightsaber before. Though that was probably an extremely lucky occurrence with a really good role. I KNOW that I dropped them in one turn quite often.)

Oh, and Ush, if I can I would shout out "Hold your ground, men!" when ontop of the skiff in order to inspire my men, and is it possible to make a leadership roll in order to organize my men? Surely they will all notice me on the skiff.

Those two skiffs that are disengaging- can they still threaten the artillery?

I'm on one of the two skiffs, and Janthis is shooting the pilot of the other, so I think the one Janthis is shooting down will be overturned in the chaos.

If the skiffs are going to disengage, it's not going to be so they can run away unless the Rebels have called a retreat, which I highly doubt. They will be heading for the artillery pieces.

I can really say that Jaiden has done a fantastic job personally with his Heavy Weapon in obliterating our Rebel foes, and that Janthis has done well in regards to organizing his troops. Well done, so far.

We again didn`t get the update...

Can the tactical sequence result in the draw, by the way?

Ok, I am calling the ball on the skiff raid. A successful inspiration roll from Jaiden abord his skiff rallies his men who storm it on masse, and the other is chased out of there by Janthis' persistent firing. The disengagement is not, as some thought, in the direction of the artillery, as Janthis and Jaiden's tactic of standing firm has cost them dear in men but prevented penetration. It is a retreat. The fight could go on but there is no reasonable prospect now of reaching the guns, and Imperial reinforcements are starting to arrive. Scarlet and Rhys will have to hop on that last skiff and escape with it. The Osokan Warriors withdraw doggedly; purusit would leave the artillery open to a suicide strike so Janthis and Jaiden remain on guard.

That engagement is an Imperial victory.

At the wall, Rylis and Kyle are exchanging shots and dodges. Kyle is yelling something at you, Rylis, but it's hard to hear. Both of you are rolling at full capacity here- this turn we had an 18, a 19 and a 20 from the three shots fired. Again, Gunslinger is definitely giving Kyle the edge here.

Eerin fights on, decapitating more foes.

Time's nearly up on this fight. [/B]

I hope that Ush won`t kill me for quoting his entire post from Rebel Thread.

Congratulations, Commanders!

As Janthis watches the Skiff and the Osokans retreat he has the rest of his men reform on him in case they decide to try another foolish assault.

"Good job men that is how it is done," Janthis tells his men.

Rylis, perhaps you can use your Devices, Spike Gun if not Flamer?

As Jaiden hops off the skiff, he slaps Janthis on the back. "I hope this wasn't too much already, Janthis. We still have a war to win" he chuckles as he lets his men rejoice in the victory.

We'll refill our groups if we can and stand by the artillery for further orders.

Jaiden will commlink the General. "General, the artillery raid has been repelled, the skiffs destroyed, and the artillery safe. Should me and Commander Janthis stay at the artillery, or rather head on to the city and place other stormtroopers near the artillery?"

After we breach the walls, you both should be among the advancing troops.

Lana is currently off-line and a possible plan from her is something I have to wait for; I'll give it a day.

Ok, well, it is a shame Lana is off-line, but I'll have to award that fght to Kyle; Rylis withdraws.

This engagement is going to be a draw. The Rebels have prevented the Imperials gaining a decisive advantage at this point in the battle, but the Imperials are certain to secure the halfway point.

So now we are waiting for the strategic turn results?

TBJ, Barb, are you availble for the next strategic turn?

Yes.

Excellent, do you want to plan entire strategy with me and Rex( in this case I would be forwarding you all posts between us and Ush), or are you only interested in stuff directly relevant to your character?

"I thought you were a scary bounty hunter," Arvus says when Rylis returns via jetpack.

Strategic results for turn 1 are now coming in. The Imperials can choose the best result of their two attacks on the secotrs behind the walls, though they cannot get the effect of both.

-----

Result of Battle at the West Arm: FIREFIGHT

The fight is inconclusive. Both sides check for unit damage.

The damaged Imperial Artillery unit at West Arm (South) takes a second hit and is destroyed.

An Osokan Warrior Unit at the West Arm takes a hit, as does a Militia unit.

The West Side Wall has been breached

-----

Result of the battle at the South Arm: DEFENDER RETREATS

General Coll's presence increases the Imperial effectiveness and the engagement ends in Imperial victory as they take the walls.

Defending units check for hits; one unit of Osokan Warriors takes a hit. Defending units then have to withdraw

THE RETREAT REQUIREMENT IS CANCELLED

Imperial units drive into the city and achieve tactical usccess that breaks the defeding forces.

However, shortly afterwards reports arrive that the forces have unexpectedly rallied and held ground. Rumours tell of a particularly large Osokan leading attacks against invading Imperial forces and ordering the execution of fleeing defenders. Unable to press home the shock of their attack, the Imperials are forced to withdraw from the walls shortly afterwards.

The defenders do not retreat and the Imperial forces stay where they are. The walls were not breached.

Turn 2 starts very shortly. This is a Strategy only turn; Tactical players are resting.

I thought that thanks to winning the tactical fight we had 2:1 advantage in the West sector?

But at least west wall has been breached. We are winning, I think.

Ush, I understand that now all Imperial attacks on West Arm from both west sectors will be combined, and they no longer have the walls increasing their strenght?

Was the large Osokan recognized as Drakkon?

Do I wait for PM from you? I have a plan forming already.
