USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Ushgarak372 pages

Defensive Strength at the North Walls is 16; the two attacking strengths are 23 and 21, both above the margun to make the final odds 3:2, with the wall shift cancelled by the dploymnet of armour.

Result: Firefight

Things maybe could have gone very mucvh the Imperial way on a good roll this turn. As it is, bith sides are simply slugging it out. The wall is not breached and the bombardment does not seem to achieve much.

However, one defending Warrior unit is hit and destroyed, another is hit, and the attackers seem to be taking all sorts of casualties. The hit speederbike unit is destroyed, the artillery unit takes a hit, the undamaged trooper unit at (West) takes a hit, and the AT-ST at (West) takes a hit as well.

Meanwhile the Imperials have failed to nominate any units to enter the south of the city and we cannot take any more time... so none do. Good way to waste time that; Rebels will be happy.

Plans for the next turn are sent.

And new orders have come through pretty quick!

TURN 6

Imperial forces enter the south of the city proper for the first time.

As they do so, large explosions engulf the advance. The Rebels have mined the southern approach with large amounts of explosives! The advancing AT-ST unit takes a hit.

Meanwhile, attacks on the West resume and the attack on the North continues.

To the West the Imperials have brough up enough force to get base 2:1 odds, but one of the trooper units is still in transit so the base is only 3:2. However, the presence of armour makes the final odds 2:1 in Imperial favour.

To the North, the Imperials are just short again on making heavy odds odds. They fight at 3:2 in their favour.

This being the case, tactical players can distribute themselves amongst these fights as they now wish.

It can, incidentally, now be confirmed that there are no defending forces in the east of the city.

Well, it looks a bit better now, we should be able to take all inside sectors in few turns at this rate... is orbital bombardment directed at North, because Rex didn`t inform me of his orders this time?

About the east sector, Vader prohibited us from sending troops there. Should we inquire about it?

So tactical players go either North or West? Perhaps Commanders North and Rylis/Arvus West, or do you prefer it diffrently?

Can I go on and lead the stormtroopers through the breach in the South?

But there is no battle at South, only North and West, I think.

Actually, perhaps we can have the best effectiveness if we spread indendendents into pairs with Commanders, that bring the benefit of additional troops? Coll?

Or perhaps just send one Commander with the Independants. Their sole purpose in this battle here is to subdue Rebels and capture Drakkon, after all, not fight our war for us.

I will make an inquiry to Ush about the East sector...

Meanwhile, damned Rebels and their stupid mines.

It doesn`t sound stupid, so how about Janthis to go North, and Rylis/Arvus/Jaiden West? Tactical victory at West would mean our totally overwhelming advantage there.

Well, either South or West is fine with me.

Probably West.

Edit: yay for the same thought at the same time 😛

Rylis, Arvus, and Commander Jaiden will go West, then.

Commander Janthis to the North.

Indeed we think alike Lana... will you marry me? 😛

Ush, if Rebels attack our forces in inside sectors, do they gain advantage of fighting in the city?

Yes

So it isn`t limited only to the Center sector battles? Interesting.

If they were to attack any of our units in the City from anywhere in the City, they would get a bonus.

I'm gambling with an idea, at the moment...

You can share it by PM...

I have done so.

I'm happy with going to the North

Looks like everyone is ready to go?

No need to delay if there are two tactical rounds in store...

Arvus is ready to go.
