"Perhaps. As for Drakkon... as I said before, we have resources enough for ONE mission, with ONE objective. Not more."

"Maybe," says Jarek, "the Commissar's personnel could help in that department?"

"Yes, we could, I suppose." Rylis says, glancing at Arvus. "However, I would first like all the information that is available about Drakkon. I try to make it a point to never go after someone with no knowledge of them."

"Like most recent events on Lanzar, as far as I know we know little," says Atar. "He was the head of one of the Hunting Lodges, evidently an opponent of Matadan. He overturned the previous Imperial peace deal and led the rebellion that unseated Matadan and became Guildmaster shortly after. Being a Guildmaster means he must be of considerable combat prowess, else he would never be accepted, but to be able to lead such a rebellion and not yet have suffered any counter-coups must mean he is no brainless idiot. I suppose the only way to get his true measure would be to meet him."

"I was afraid that would be the case, though I am not surprised. What of Osokans in general, then? Any information that you have will I would very much appreciate...and I am to assume that we can use any force necessary to capture this Drakkon?" Rylis says.

"Yes, and there I would imagine you have a considerable advantage, because in common with all Osokans, Drakkon will be exceptionally difficult to kill, eventually regenerating all wounds that have now blown him to pieces. Therefore you could likely use maximum force and still take him alive.

"Staying at range will keep you away from his neurowhip, but then it might be hard to bring him down with small arms fire."

-Is the Senate Mission on Lanzar yet?

-Are there any non-Osokans so Agents, Rylis and Oakmead could pass as mercenaries or traders(weapon traders perhaps?)

"I believe my armor will be able to help protect me against the neurowhip's effects, making that less of a problem. If Arvus and I work together for this, I believe that it is perfectly feasible that we can capture Drakkon."

The Senate mission has been on Lanzar for a long time. Lanzar City is a trading port and there are plenty of non-Osokans around.

Ush, I want to contact Senators now. Can I speak separetely with each of them, starting with Andran? And could I spend the Fortune point to help to choose which of the other 2 aproach with offer of cooperation?

As your contact told you, Andran won't give you the time of day until you arrive at Lanzar.

Afraid not, no; it's not a matter of luck but of judgment. However, Jarek's point was that all this talk of taking Drakkon is irrelevant if you are just going to level the city from space. That's why he said 'officially executed?' He means that if Drakkon is just blown up with the city there will be no resolution of war crimes at all.

I meant to communicate with Andran through holocron or something similar. What about Drakkon and other two?

At this point I am not certain, I am trying to find a balance between Nadir`s and Coil`s suggestions. Anyway, two of the things I am certain of:

"Rylis, Oakmead, I want you and the Agents, perhaps also one of Commanders, to arrive at Lanzar before the blockade is established. We wil stay in contact, I will try to mix some of you as Senatorial Staff, if not you can try to find information about Drakkon and Generator, we badly need some reports from the planet( Ush, are there some Empire agents or officials on Lanzar, contacts at last?)

If we can agree on something, I would like the blockade to be established immediately after we arrive and the special team is on planet."

What your contact meant, Melkor, si that Andran will not talk to you unless you are there.

Lanzar is unreasonably invaded: +3

Under what circumstances will the blackade be reasonable? My argument that we are helping the negotiations will not hold water, I assume....

"I still don't understand the need for any blockade. All it will serve to do is anger the senators and any traders on the planet. Surely a simple scan of any and all ships landing on or leaving the planet would do well enough. Justify it on the grounds of Senate security. Don't stop any ships landing, but allow those on the ground to trail the inhabitants of suspicous ships.

"Also, I would like to know if Lanzar is still part of the Empire. If so, could you not, respectfully, Comissar Esgabeth, land a detachment of stormtroopers in the capital to maintain stability whilst talks progress?

"But I do certainly agree it would be advisable to send the four of us as a recon team."

Of course it is part of the Empire! But the Senate would request such troops if it wanted them, else that would again be seen to be interference with the Senate.

"It is well known that exhaustive checks on incoming and outgoing vessels are only possible by use of scanning teams who must board ships," says Nidar. "Without blockade, the Osokans could receive weapons, and Drakkon could flee the planet, right under our noses. It would be the height of idiocy to not quarantine the planet,"

"Not if we have people watching the starport, sir," Lyle replies, "And as long as the Senatorial staff is present on the planet, I doubt he will be leaving. If he does so, he surrenders the planet to his opponents, and from what his race sounds like, I doubt he will do that.

"Instead, if the senators can be convinced they are in danger, they will leave. The moment that happens, engage a quarantine. Allow only the senators to leave. Then, we may do whatever we wish to this backwater hole."

He looks up at the assembled people, looking for someone to agree with him, or to challenge him.

"We may do it, Commodore, but not after I deal with Senators on Lanzar. You will have free way after I resolve the political problem.

So is our "special" team prepared to go as quickly as possible?" -Melkor gives paternizing smile to Rylis:

"It seems like Osokans don`t frighten you, but remember you wil have to be as subtle as possible."

(Ush, what about my question, concerning Empire officials or informers on Lanzar? Nobody who could help?)

"You impress me, Agent Lyle. I agree that Senators being put in danger would be a great reason to use our armed force. After you get on Lanzar, try to find some opponents of Drakkon, we will try to convice them to threaten or attack the Senators."

"Does our 'special' team consist of myself, Agent Stirge, Rylis, and your other companion?" Lyle asks.

"As I mentioned, this is the core. Maybe you should take several of our most skilled soldiers with you? Anyway, Agent Lyle, I would like you to be in charge. How do you like it?"
