Yeah...Spidey put all his might into one suprise punch and all he could accomplish was to put Namor to wipe his mouth.

How in the hell can he out-think Namor in a cage? Namor will catch him when he tries to punch him, and rips his hands off his sockets. Because Namor probably moves faster then Spidey.

And that's weakened Namor. Namor with full health would just rip Spidey's hands away and let him bleed to death while he is strangling him.

Though, I have little doubt that Spiderman could just outrun, outdodge, and generally elude Namor indefinitely...but that's still losing, folks. 😛

I mean, if weakened Namor can do that, what will the one with full health do?

Where does it say that he was weakened? Is it something off-panel? Or are you just assuming so?

DC's got a point...Namor was far from 100%. But it wouldn't be impossible for Spidey to pull this off. Difficult as hell, sure, but not impossible.

Those scans are probably mine, but click on the link in my sig for further proof of what SM's capable of. He's taken hits from guys as strong as Namor before and kept going, and lots of characters have tried to hit him and failed miserably (the list is too long to name, but Hulk and Firelord are 2 notable ones). I'd give Namor 6 or 7/10.

That's what I've been trying to say, DarkCrawler. I never believed Spiderman could hang for too long with a fully-charged, fresh out of the water Namor (though he could last a while I think, being able to take hits from the Hulk, Firelord, Rhino, and Sandman for example). But, in my opinion, he's far smarter than him and quite capable of drying Namor up. Which is a completely legitimate strategy.

Upon drying him, Spidey can definitely take it to him then.

I still say Namor wins. But not by much. Namor 6/10.

Maybe smarter then the old school Namor in one of his rages...but the current Namor doesn't suffer from the unstable blood condition anymore that made him have those crazy freaking outs he used to have:

Therefore it is safe to assume, that with seventy years of endless battling, he is about three times as smarter fighter as Spider-Man is, and will not fall in those tricks.

And neither Hulk, Firelord, or especially Rhino are as good fighters or as fast as Namor, and could not punch him a dozen times in a moment:

Yeah, but what if he doesn't dry him...you just automatically assume it.

Namor 9/10, Spider-Man is out of his class here.

I'll go 8/10 realistically for Namor.

9/10 for Spidey if there's a gas station in the neighborhood.

as long as spiderman uses his anger and doesnt just become blinded by him i think he can manage a win. if it wasnt in the city id be alot more likley to go with namor.

spiderman could avoid him and lead him as far from water as he can and get in some decent attacks. hed be completley merciless and wouldnt hesitate to use everything he could. i remember spiderman leading enemies into buildings that were about to collapse and things like that. and now that hes pulling out all the stops i can see him using fuel tankers and anything that would cause maximum and fatal damage.

if he tries to go head to head with namor i dont think he would win, but if he uses his anger and keeps a cool enough head to still use some tactics i think he can do it.
