What happened to this thread? It seems to be state capital thread now. 😆

Ok, what the capital of your state....Hmmmmm Portland? 😕

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of a city HAS a capital....

Okay...you obviously got me there..replace city with state.

Now moving on past semantical errors..what's the answer to the question..

Is there a way to reach the capital of a state? Without actually going through the state?

Simple yes or no people...

No, Salem.

Okay..let me simplify things...

In order to get to the capital of a city..we have to go in through the city..

Regardless of the direction/mode of travel/distance we are subjected too..we still have to go in through the city...in order to get to the capital.

Understand?

The incongruity of your religion, lies in the assertion that there are other ways to get to the capital..without going through the "city."
Yet another example of the contradictions in relativistic arguments.

Moving on..another challenge to everyone here...

Come up with an explination as to how one can get to a cities capital..without actually going through the city.

No, you are missing the point again: you can reach the capitol of a city without going through the city - you can fly through the sky with a helicopter and then drop straight down into the centre, or dig a tunnel under the ground into the city capitol.

Anyway, you are making a mere assumption if you think the entire universe or reality as such also works according to plain human logic - there are greater things than maths and logic, my friend - even Einstein admitted that absolute reality is not logical or mathematical.

Yes go to http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=5518484#post5518484

Also, to get to a common destination, you may well be traveling the same way or a different way, and or a different means/method, which makes the process of getting to a common (absolute) relative.

Also, there can be different paths or roads through the city/state into the capitol, so it remains relative.

We would all like to wish in one hand, and shit in the other....

See which one fills up first.

ask a yes or no question to begin with...and I'm sure the people here will do just that...

See..and that is the flaw in your logic again Wonderer...regardless of mode of transportation/distance/direction..you'll always be going through the city/state..

If you travel in the air by plane...you'll still be traveling through the state..

If you travel on the ground by foot...you'll be travelling through the state..

If you dig a tunnel underground..you'll still be travelling through the state...

Regardless of what position your in..you'll always be going through the state...

You follow?

How about you all try this one..

Get a Ballon..put a penny inside of it.

Is there anyway to get to the penny..without going through the balloon?

Simple yes or no answer will suffice

Regarding Einstein..I believe what Einstein was alluding to..was that "reality" is "absolute" to humans..because we did not create it...we are merely subjected to it.

However on the flip side of things, reality would be merely "relative" to the one who "Created" it..seeing as how this "Creator"(God) could change what makes up this "reality" on a whim.

However..as we can see within this "reality" things don't change. 2+2 will always = 4. Concepts such as "gravity" will always inherently exist. We live in a universe full of fixed rules..which tell us about the nature of this "Creator." He doesn't seem to be wishy-washy type, but rather..a genuine/trustworthy/loving type. One who sticks to his commitments..and truly values what he has created.

Saying that 'a simple yes or no will suffice' is simply a cheap way of trying to force an answer to be absolute.

A relativist would simply answer 'maybe'.

I have a Zen Buddhist friend who loves to say "Yes, no, maybe". 😆

but it can be annoying.

maybe...
