''No..'' Jess said airily. '' His Parents! Their both vampires, maybe they can do something! Use their magic to get Justin's memory back!'' she smiled happily. ''But... they live in Jump City. That's a ways from here. It'd be the rest of the night and a bit of day if we start driving now, Justin wouldn't make it through the day without blood, and we can't take the bat jet it'll cause to much commotion.'' she frowned, but then suddenly thought of something. ''We could take the company hellicopter.''

Justin slowly looked around. "I'm so tired.." He mumbled.

''We could take the company hellicopter.''
Tom smiled. "Jump City? Alright! I've been meaning to meet up with the titans again." Tom said, looking as though he was lost in a memory. "I wonder how Raven is doing." Tom said as he began walking back to the manor. Tom stopped and turned around. "I almost forgot... where should I sleep?" Tom asked looking embarrassed.

"You mean, where should WE sleep." Justin butted in, slowly lifting himself up into a sitting position.

''Right... I'm tired too.'' Jess sighed. ''We'l head out for Jump in the morning. There are some guest rooms on the third floor in the East Wing... Alfred'll show you.'' Jess said casually as she walked into what looked like a maximum security walk-in closet. Moments later she came back out, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

Justin looked at Jess. "But.. I'm not EXACTLY a guest." He smiled.

''So you do remember!'' Jess smiled and took Justin's hand again. She then saw a few packs of blood that were laying on a nearby table. ''Here, maybe more blood will help.'' she said as she pulled the blood packets over and gave them to Justin.

Justin bit into a packet. "I remember some things." He said, putting his arm around her.

[Are we in Jess's room already? o.O]

[no. we're just leaving the cave.]
''Good.'' Jess smiled and put her head on his shouler.

*When Jess and Justin got back to Jess' room, Jess changed into her pajamas and brushed her teeth. She then flopped face first onto her bed. ''I'm soooo tired...'' she mumbled into the pillows and then rolled over. She pulled the blankets up around her and, almost immediately, she was asleep.

Justin sat down at the side of the bed, slowly stroking Jess's cheek. After a while Justin layed beside her and took her in his arms before falling asleep.

*THE NEXT DAY*

........hello?

Tom had wandered back to the bat cave and was looking at some of the equipment. Tom found one of the flash grenades and was inspecting it. "This looks interesting... I wounder how it works." Tom said to himself quietly as he started pulling it apart carefully, inspecting every tiny detail. "Amazing... I've never seen anything so advanced." Tom said as pulled off one of the smaller parts of the explosive. The grenade started beeping, Tom gasped and tried to drop it before he was caught in the blast. The explosion wasn't enough to hurt Tom, but enough to set off the other explosives on the wall. Tom screamed as the multiple explosions sent him flying through a wall and back to the manor. "Ouch." Tom muttered as he sat up and pushed away some of the fallen wall that was lying on top of him. "I'm just going to keep this to myself for a little while." Tom said as he started cleaning up the mess he made.

Seeing as she was having a hard time sleeping, Jess was up at the crack of dawn the next morning She had ventured down to the kitchen, now dimly lit with the little sunlight coming through the windows, and had gotten herself a cup of coffee. Not Even Alfred was up yet and the manor was very quiet. Jess went into the first floor parlour and walked to the piano. She tapped a few keys and then walked behind the bookcase that had just now opened to reveal an elevator. The bookcase closed and Jess pressed the down button on the lift. When the lift stopped at the bottom, Jess stepped out and walked down the dimmly lit path and into the bat cave. Humming to herself and sipping at her coffee, she walked into the weapon room where she found atleast a quarter of their flash grenades and smoke bombs had been set off. In the midst of all of this, she found Tom,smashed into a far off wall.
"I expected as much.'' Jess laughed over her the top of her coffee mug. ''Amongst other things, you set off a bunch of memory gas pellets. When you landed, you thought you were in the last place you were before you came here, didn't you?'' Jess chuckled and walked over to Tom. ''Don't worry about it. We've got plenty more in storage.'' she smiled as she helped him up. ''My dad won't find out, he usually sleeps in untill atleast noon, and we can clean it up by then. No worries.''

Tom felt a strange headache coming on. "Wow... that was nuts." Tom said as he brushed himself off. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come here without permission." Tom said as he looked around at the damage.

''Like I said, no worries.'' Jess smiled. She seemed quite happy after all that had gone on yesterday and she merely gazed around at the cave. ''Yeah, this'll clean up nice and easy.'' she smiled and set down her coffee. She pointed her hands at the mess in front of them, her eyes glowed an even more icy blue that their normal colour, and her hands began to glow aswell. The debris before Jess and Tom immediately gathered itself into one mass of ice and lifted into the air. Jess guided this chunk of frozen garbage with her hands to hover over a large dumpster-like box on a much lower level off the cave. There, the garbage seperated itself from the ice and fell into the box with a loud clunk, while the ice just evaporated into the air. ''Well, all done.'' Jess said calmly as her eyes and hands resumed their normal stature. She flopped into a chair, picked up her coffee and took a sip.

Tom was dumbfounded, he didn't know that Jess had any powers. "Wh... how... since when..." Tom stuttered as he tried to make sense of the situation. "I'm still dreaming from the gas... Those explosions must have been more damaging then I thought." Tom said as he closed his eyes to try and wake up.

''Ummmm...'' Jess stared at the ceiling as she spun around in the chair. ''Since...uh...birth. It's why I was sent to Hero High in the first place. Dad didn't think Brentwood Academy was meeting my 'needs'... that... and the fact that I've broken a couple of noses and arms here and there... and started a few schoolyard brawls...'' Jess said carelessly as she continued to spin around in her chair. ''I got it from my mom...'' Jess immediately stopped spinning in her chair at the metion of her mother, and she now had a rather murderous look on her face.

Tom stepped back cautiously. "Sorry I brought it up... I just never saw you use your powers before." Tom said, hoping to drop the subject.

''It's okay.'' Jess sighed and resumed her normal stature. ''That's who we were fighting yesterday before we met you guys at Arkham.''
