Space pirate (metroid) Vs Elite (Halo)

Differences between engineers and scientists:
An engineer is someone who practices the profession of engineering – a person who uses scientific knowledge to solve practical problems using technology. The title "engineer" is normally used only by individuals who have an academic degree (or equivalent work experience) in one of the engineering disciplines.

The word "technologist" is sometimes used synonymously as it derives from the prefix Techno- and the suffix -ologist, hence, someone who studies technology. However in some Latin countries, "technologist" is a somewhat lower certification at a level between technician and engineer.

In general, it can be stated that a scientist builds in order to learn, but an engineer learns in order to build.

In US railroad terminology, "engineer" denotes the operator of a locomotive.

They are NOT the same thing, like H&M seem to think, IcePunk was right all along.

seeing as there doesn't seem to be anything to help a SP yet the scores are currently 1:0 in the elites favour.... 😂

Seeing as it's only you who still think so..... 😂

Just cuz it dosent work on narrow minded people like yourself dosent mean that it sucks like your member bashing.

Okay, guys, it's been awhile, but I'm back.

First of all, the plasma sword is not standard equipment. We rarely see blue elites carry one in game and must assume that they are not given swords. Second, if I remember correctly the plasma sword is given (along with rank) based on how many humans the elites have killed. This means that it is highly unlikely that blue elites posess a plasma sword.

Even if we were to take the books into account, the space pirates still win. And we can't be sure that the all the elites have motion detectors, just because the arbiter has one. His armor was special.

I'm pretty sure that only special elites can carry swords. I have never seen any elite below black spec ops carrying a plasma sword. So really a normal elite would not have one with them.

So, Icepunk was right all along (again)

Look people can't we just agree on something. An elite is a powerful opponent and is very deadly but I believe the SP has this battle.

Erm.... no you can't...😆!!!

And you cant do the opposite so shuush.

If you can't prove that it can't hurt them then how do you actually know that the Covenant's weapons won't hurt them.

they are only empty theories

Say that to the one who's not following my rules.

they were talking about the beam pirates by the way

We still can't be sure if any Covenant weapon can or can't hurt a Pirate. Elites lose any way you put it.

Okay if you are talking about the special weapon specific troopers. Then they are immune to covenent plasma weapons (with the exception of the plasma trooper). If the other pirate versions armor can withstand Samus' plasma beam and flame thrower weapon then they can sure as hell withstand the weak little blue bullets that come out of the plasma rifle. Same thing with the sword and any other covenent weapon.

Time for a mamoth fun time Kiddy schooling post!!! Hold on to your horses kids!!!

As I've said.. cinematics are the developers cue to allow you to see what the character is capable of outside of ones control.. if bungie dont show these feats in their game.. it doesnt happen for me.. thats all... do you consider this unreasonable?.. how so?.. given the time span of most cinematics.. thats certainly enough time (and the reason) to show feats...

I've cropped it down... The rest was just whine'in... I'm fed up of listening to Satsujins crying about the book now... It's all just as flawed from post to post... So i'll only address the minor point hes come up with here....
Yup... Cinematics can show some of the feats someones capable of... We see MC can survive in space... We see he can survive huge drops in water... we see he can talk... We see he can hold a gun and a rocket at the same time, (but not use both??? why not??! ) Off any of the cinematics do they show any of him fighting?? erm.... Do they show any where he does anything of interest??? not really... Should we assume that cause he doesn't kill in any cinamatics he can't??? It's a very narrow view to hold.... Here lets look at the script for the up and coming halo movie!!!

"......Only this shadow turns out to be literally thousands of Covenants drop ships! (I can’t wait for these WETA toys!) We cut to a battlefield across the wasteland where the Spartans and the Covenant are locked in ferocious combat. The Spartans are super-warriors. Combat machines – except that beneath their armor is genetically refined human flesh and blood. Despite their physical size, they are fast. We watch them turn-aim-fire, the speed of their reaction is unnatural. They seem fuelled by nitrous oxide and amphetamines. There is something hypnotic about the way they fight. Amidst the chaos, there are patterns. Across the battlefield, we can see precise movements echoed from Spartan to Spartan. The same motion in the way a weapon is raised, the leap and roll to avoid an explosion. The Spartan Warrior training is embedded deep within them. "

Funny... this seems to go along with everything the books, and games manuels have said... Only the game differs for the sake of fun and playablity...

Thinking that the number of posts matter, hehe, silly silly, the stuff that matters is in them. you keep showing major differences from the elites from the book and the ones from the games meaning they are not the same, this is the elite from the games not the overrating book, IcePunk was right, if you actually read the previous pages you'd see that I mean the ones from the games, but I guess you're a little too lazy to do that stuff, right?
I made the rules and you're not following them 😠 and Mike Tyson still think that you and MR T can STFU.
Disrespectfull, to not even read the previous pages or even follow my rules.

PS: and I was at Icepunk's house yesterday

Multiposting is against the forum rules SO YES IT DOES MATTER!!!! (concidering what you went on to do....)
It matters little whats in them when its the same drival repeated 11 times... Elites from the books match the elites from the games... Theres no difference.. The reason I use the book is cause its a source, It gives me evidence to bais my views on. Showing evidence is a MP fans worst nightmare... They all seem to cry when you show evidence, and just keep making up stuff and attacking the "OFFICAL" books... I suspect its down to the fact that the books actually give a creditable answer to the discusion... But they just ignore it and cry like usual...

I'm lazy??? lol....
Your biased??? ✅ constantly back patting and nut swinging without a shread of evidence wraped with all the specualtion in the world... Truely a fanboy among men... 😆

The name was given... It is not a direct representation of the likeform It was observed once learning through dismateling and reasembaling.. We can assume that if its quick enough to learn via that method it could do scientific research...

My name is steven... if I look up the definition for my name... "Whearer of thorns", However that has very little to do with me... Point being, Although engineer is its name, Its only a brief sumary of its potential...
very narrow minded!!!!

Nor have you seen anywhere that they can't... The swords are useally held by higher ups as they tend to be a 1 off fight... Something special, Not a standard fight... Low lvl elites are a standard fight, So they don't get equiped with swords in the game...

I'm not defending the point that Elites can't take damage... I'm pointing out the big obvious flaw in his thinking... Just cause pirates are immune to SA weapons doesn't mean there imune to everything...
Lay off the bias... You might actually learn something...

It's kind of obvious that I made this thread therefor I the one who makes the rules, I wasnt reffering to the forum rules, I named the thread "Space pirate(metroid) vs Elite (Halo) and not Space pirate(metroid vs Elite (from the halo books). You yourself have proven that Elites from the books are waaaaaaayy different from the ones from the games and therefor they cant be classified as the same.
Also I meant the elites from halo as in number 1 (kind of obvious) considering that they've got better shields making it a little more fair for the poor thing.
And NO, if the energy isnt standard equipment for the elites then this guy is no exception.
Now follow these rules plz.

Which MC will it be in the movie, the overrated one or the more realistic one from the games?
Another question, Steven can you PLZ stop ending your sentences with"!!!!" or "???" or "......"?
