Some people just make a big deal out of nothing.

I just came back from my coffee break and I was the spectator of a ackward scene. I went to get me a cup of decaf at my local coffee house. And I know the girl who usually works there. She's nice and very helpful. But today she was having trouble working with the blender.

And there was a small line of people. There was a guy (in his mid 20's) who made a big deal because the girl was taking too long. It was rather embarrasing to witness the guy flip over a friggin cup of blended coffee. He complain to the manager and finally he got his drink and left the place talking crap.

So the girl goes to the back of the store and I notice she was almost crying. The lady behind me was feeling bad for her. So I'm thinking that really blows. Friggin Jerk....I wanted to elbow his ass as he was walking away.

I work in a coffee place....and I deal with idiots like that every day.

I know is not easy for you guys to take so many orders. I really hate people making a big deal out of a friggin cup of coffee.

I think a lot of people who work in the public serving others like you, deal with a lot of shit you guys don't deserve.

I work in the mornings, when it's at the busiest, and I'm always in charge of the front counter. Between 7-8 am, when it's the worst, even if I have 3 other people helping me with orders the line is huge. Luckily people rarely get snippy about us taking a long time because unless someone orders something really big or complex it takes no longer than a minute to get each customer through and served.

Recently I had someone having a fit at me because the total for his coffee wasn't the same as on the signboard. I was like "yes, because that price up there doesn't include the tax." 🙄

Me too. I work at Starbucks. Ya know the people complain all the time that its taking to long and then when it's finally done they tell you it's not what they ordered or it tastes funny

Thats so mean! 😠 I would of so said/done something to that jerk!

Many people get egocentric while purchasing something. They have something they want on their mind and want to get it that very instant. All expectable prospects of the conditions, like people in line before them, complex orders needing more time, overkill of customers to those who have to serve them, go right out the window for them and they just go 'Me, me me!' While getting more frustrated at every second they are left without what they want and ending up not satisfied when they get it cause in their minds it expanded to some holy icon they must obtain instead of just a cup of coffee.
In short words, people tend to fall back to little kids behaviour when they can't instantly get what they want (I saw women fighting at shoe sales over the last pair of one) and instead of coping and understanding the reason why it takes time, they go and whine.

I just realized I fuk'd up. I told this local band I would be at their show and they told me to meet up with them after the show. They'll know if I show up or if dont because they have seen my face on myspace. 😖 The thing is I don't know if I'll be able to make it to the show. Actually I don't wanna go. bag

I agree, WD. Like, look at that post I made an hour ago. I was completely right!

We tend to laugh at and make fun of the people who have fits over nothing when they're gone 😂

Bloody hell, You drink decaf? 😐

That is the most pointless type of coffee available.

Doesn't that jerk realise that coffee isn't instant to make... moron.

I think there are two sides to the coin.

If you can't cope, you shouldn't be working in such a hectic place. A friend of mine ordered something as simple as a cheese baguette with no tomato and they messed it up, one time.

On the other hand, some people are overly aggressive about things. It's stupid.

When it's really busy, then even the simplest things can get messed up, but it's usually an easy thing to fix.

But there's really no excuse for people acting so childish over having to wait an extra 30 seconds.

What really gets to me is when people place an order, and then change it - AFTER you finish making everything.

I can deal with people who want a certain thing. But they shouldn't complain about how long it takes.

After 15 years of drinking regular coffee....I have to...or else I get an upset stomach when driking regular.

To AC: There are indeed to sides to the coin. But there is no real reason to get upset over a simple cup of java.

Exactly.

If you want a latte, don't expect it to be ready in 15 seconds. It takes a while to make. And especially don't complain if we're waiting on 5 other people at the same time.

Right! And I mean if some part of the machine isn't working don't stand there and tap your foot and look at your watch and sigh. It's not our fault
