Wonder Man vs. Ikaris

Started by Laminator_X3 pages

Ikaris and BlackBolt were both toying with one another in that skirmish. Either one could've obliterated the other in that full-nelson if they had tried. Black-Bold is one of the few who could probably kill an Eternal if he unleashed his full might in Ikaris's face. Conversely, I don't think he could have survived if Ikaris had blasted him in the back of the head either.

Ikaris lifts 40tons Blackbolt lifts 60tons.

If their current versions fought, Wondy's toast. If Wondy fought the version of Ikaris before he beat Thena to become Prime Eternal, I think he would have had a chance.

Current Ikaris VS. Current Wonder Man Ikaris wins 11 times out of 10.

But...

Classic Ikaris(before becoming Prime eternal) VS. Wonder Man Ikaris wins maybe 9 times out of 10.

If it was a slugfest on the other hand, Wondy takes it 6 times out of 10. 🙂

Are their strength levels up their with Thor? Hulk?

Initially, Wonder Man possessed superhuman strength and endurance that were comparable with the Thing. After his first "death", his powers increased significantly while in stasis, placing him in the "Class 100" strength range, equivalent to Thor; entailing that he can lift far in excess of 100 tons. Wonder Man also possesses superhuman speed but initially could not fly of his own power. After his revival, he gained a belt that featured a pair of rockets that tapped into his ionic power to give him the ability of flight. Without the belt, he could not fly, but eventually learned to leap great distances like the Hulk. After he was exposed to the energies of a Nega-Bomb in "Operation Galactic Storm", his powers entered a state of flux that lasted until his second "death" in combat with the Kree. At one point during this state of flux, energy erupted from his body and temporarily empowered a group of his non-superpowered friends and associates, who were briefly known as the "Crazy Eight". During an epic battle against Mephisto, the devil, he learned that his body made of ionic energy was able to do far more than he first fathomed. Among other things, he learned that he could fly by himself by projecting energy from his lower body. After that, he was "killed" by the Kree (see bio above and trivia below), and his atoms were dispersed worldwide. His body was later reformed by the Scarlet Witch, by her love and her chaos magic, and was now clearly in its natural state : a form of energy, allegedly ionic energy.

Even though Wonder Man has seemingly "died" numerous times, he is actually immortal because his body is made of ionic energy and no longer ages. When he was shot and "killed" the second time, by the Kree, all they succeeded in doing was to disperse his atoms worldwide. Also, he doesn't need to breathe, drink or eat, or maybe even sleep, but does so out of habit, not having known for a number of years that his body was made of ionic energy, or does so for general enjoyment of the pleasures of life. Because his body is made of ionic energy, Wonder Man's eyes glow bright red. He can consciously revert his eyes back to human-looking state through concentration (Simon's human eye color is grey), but only temporarily. We can assume his current natural form to be his "energized" one, and his "human" form to be "worn" out of habit of his human life.

Look, whooping on Goliath. Even growing to match his size:

Whooping on the being formerly known as Goliath:

Whopping Thor's ass:

Against a Prime Eternal, Wondy has no chance.

Against classic Ikaris before battling Thena for the the Prime eternal leadership, Wondy has a decent chance. 🙂

Bump.

You sly fox you!

Going by recent showings, Ikaris wins handily.

Ikaris wins

I have to back track on my earlier statements; WM should beat Ikaris head up, granted Ikaris can amp and held his own against Hercules and Red Hulk, but in the long run WM potential should beat Ikaris.

ikaris

Wonder Man's Sentry/like strength is going to prove sufficient.

Go on.

I honestly believe that if Simon gets in Ike's face he'd end up beating the shit out of him.

You'd be wrong though.

Ikaris sonned Blaastar during the "Death in Olympia" Avengers arc and that Blaastar was written pretty beastly.

He's held his own vs Forgotten One (a CL100 Eternal) and it looked like neither side had the upper hand till the fight was stopped.

He held his own vs Immortal Hercules.

He just recently tussled with Cap/Hammond Torch/Namor and was beating them down despite holding back (he was fighting mind control).

Look how Namor absolutely HUMILIATED Simon (and Simon had help) vs how Ikaris was knocking him around.

Or how Immortal Hercules humiliated Simon, yet was stalemated by Ikaris.

Ikaris got this every single time.

Looks like whooping his nuts.

Ikaris for the majority.

WM has battled Thor, Hercules, and Savage and held his own. Ikaris outside of Forgotten One is probable second strongest earth Eternal without amping, but WM should be able to put Ikaris down.

Thor put a smoldering hole in his chest with Mjolnir and Simon died.

Hercules busted up his face something awful and had him down before other people jumped in to distract him.

Simon tussled with Merged Hulk and held his own for a while. In a flashback issue, Grey Hulk almost pushed his sh|t in. So make of that what you will.

Grey Hulk one shot koed Simon. Ikaris is winning this.
