i understand why people want to come here. we are the best place for a good job and whatnot. people try to get in here usually because the process of getting a green card takes too long or they are not earning enough money in their. however, america has sent alot of money to help out mexico, but b/c of the corrupt government over there, they take most of the money for themselves(not making this up).
but here is the cold fact. there are millions of illegals in this country and more coming in every year and our leaders (democrat and republican) have not been making any real effort because they do not want to be racist or upset the mexican vote. it's truly pitiful. why should real american people have their good hard earned money taken away in taxes and wasted on illegals education and healthcare.
key word: ILLEGAL immigrant. that means you should not be here and you should get out of the country.

the difference is that our ancestors got into the country before there was a law. now there is. so if someone goes to the country now illegally, they need to leave

Being supercilious adds nothing to the discussion. It is obvious that he is asking why people are not allowed to move freely between countries.
Personally, I can understand why immigrantion laws restrict the free flow of people on a practical level, but I don't think I agree with it on a sociological level. As individuals, none of us choose where we are born, so why should the advantages of living in a developed country be limited to those who are born there. All this talk of getting a 'Green Card' is a little off the mark as the requirements for a successful application are a little out of the reach of most people in developing countries.

Indeed, and they exploited the lack of any system of ownership to persecute the native americans. So... If people from another country could successfully get to America and then make up laws, ignoring all the rights and beliefs you currently hold, you think that would be fair?

My point of view is that they should! Why not?! Part of the land in da US belonged to the natives that were from Mexico and then all of the sudden the make a border and say u cant come no more...thas crap. Plus if my parents never came 2 the US aint no way in hell i wouldve of been born (My moms is from Mexico nd my dad is from El Salvador).

<~~~~ Father's works in construction and is horrible for the most part. Though dependin on ur race sometimes u get treatin diff.

So since we're on the topic of immigration, has any1 heard about how theyre thinkin about makin a law where if an illegal alien comes to this country and has a child, then that child too will be considered an illegal alien and will not be permitted to school or get any health care benefits. Actually this law was passed in 1992 (i thnk it wuz 92) in California, but it wuz never put into action. Im guessin you would probibly agree w/ this cheldon rite? (not bashin u or anythin) So wut does every1 else thnk about it? I thnk they already have something like this in Ireland. Im against it, if you're born here, youre a US citizen, i dont think its rite for the child 2 suffer.
By the way, some of you were talkin about "how come they dey dont just get a green card"? DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS 2 GET A GREEN CARD?! You have to have money and the time to get a green card. I mean they paper is just extremely confusing and some of these illegal immigrants probibly wont understand it. My grandparents from El Salvador had to wait 1 year to get their green cards just to come visit! Money is also an issue, most of immigrants, if not all, that come to this country dont have that much money to begin w/ so they cant afford a green card.
