My feelings on the matter:

lol, so I take it you're not a big fan?
Editorial by Cole Dowden[This show] ...displays all the characters as wild-eyed, sexually driven people ruled by their hormones and lost in personal conquests loosely related to the gay and lesbian community. All this is lost to the ...delusions held by the straight community (i.e. that gay people are only interested in sex — a grotesque misrepresentation.)
There is only a small fraction of this community that haphazardly live their lives as depicted in this show. In fact, many in the gay and lesbian community don’t care for this show or others like it. The majority of the audience are curious onlookers, much like people who stare at a car accident.
...In this show, there is only a hinted concern over sexually transmitted diseases, which all persuasions battle with on a regular basis, and there is no anxiety about HIV or AIDS when the characters “hook up.”
...Granted, there is a mention of an uncle who has HIV, but it is never expanded. There is little, if any, mention concerning the possible consequences of at-risk behavior — a problem prevalent in both communities.
...Some will argue that this is an outlet for a lifestyle not equally represented in mainstream media. However, there is a distinct difference between equal representation and exploitation. This series, and others like it, have done little to break the stereotype of the gay and lesbian community but rather enforced it to serve as fodder for zealots against the very audience it serves.
