Anyway I'm going outside. We have a great winter scene going on here and it's snowing. Gonna go heat me some instant cocoa and drop a few marshmallows in it, and go outside and enjoy it on my porch. The house decorations and those of my neighbors make it so cool looking too.

Anyone wanna' come with? 🙂

I understand what he means too, honestly. But killing is killing, no matter how it takes place..if someone dies from a gun they still die, if someone dies from a knife, they still die.

And that's a given. I don't think anyone even remotely argued that.

I have a feeling that my argument is falling on deaf ears. But maybe this might help (of course it might not) think of a time where you were so angry at someone for whatever reason that you were completely out of your mind. Not an instance where violence occured, but an instance where you (or someone you know) were blind with rage. Is it at all possible that things could hve been different if you or that person were holding a gun?

If this topic continues along these lines it would be best to be done in a separate "gun control" topic.

I see this thread has transformed in to meaningless bickering.

To return to topic: They should've let him stay in prison writing books till his death. That at least is more useful than stubbornly staying true to the system.

They should have kept Tookie in his cell to do irony.

I mean ironing.

Do you agree or are you making fun of me? eer 😄

No, was just noticing something.

To echo the sentiments of VVD, I find it disturbing that the man was alive at the beginning of the thread and has since been killed.

Why? A lot of people were alive when this thread started and are now dead. And many of these people had never killed 4 other people.

I think it's more disturbing that the death of a criminal is getting more attention and causing more people to greeve then the death of good people.

I don't mean it in connection with the topic being discussed, or more so than anyone else.

Just that he's the person being discussed.

If you think that's disturbing, don't worry.
People just think it's useless to just end his life.
He was actually doing something for the world with these books and was unable to do any harm anymore. Why not let him alive? 😄

I dunno, I woulda been fine with him staying in prison.

And his books didn't do much, they hardly sold.

the sales on them books will most likely soar now that he's dead.

Yeah, not to mention his series of discontinued Little Golden Books that never sold:

"Kill Like A Crip"

"Whitey's Bad Day In L.A."

"The Dying Sounds Of A 7-11 Employee, As Imitated By Tookie"
(CD)

"Shut Yo' Mouth ***** Or I'll Cap Yo' Ass"

And the big one that endeared him to other peoples everywhere:

"If Yo' Ass Ain't Black, It's Dead, 'Specially If You A Buddhahead"

Yeah these books really make you feel for the man...

wow, what a funny and witty quip at the expense of murder victims. 😐

Well, I don't know a lot about his books.

But since most small children don't buy books for themselves, I would imagine a forward penned by him, telling his story would put off most parents.

Yeah and what a nice way to think he was going to get off of the system, by making kids books that say "Do As I say Not As I Do."

at least im not making a joke of it.
how can one be so intense and serious on the topic and
then go on to mock and laugh at the whole situation?

Oh DUDE, dont give me this righteous sanctimonious bullshit. I don't see YOU waving a torch for his victims..you act like I personally spit on them. It was sarcasm and not aimed at his victims.

Show me where I said anything about his victims or disrespected them? As you say, "I'll be waiting." Oh and while you're at it, show me where I personally condoned their deaths.

NO? Can't blame me for anything this time? Thought not. Oh by the way, in the name of "Equal Oppurtunity" I also found a book called "The Man In The Moon Is Actually Satan" and another one called "Why Can't Mr. Fork And Mr. Toaster Be Friends"? (YOU of all people should know the answer to THAT one..)

what do you think i live here?
i get a 10 minute window to answer?
some of us have shit to do. anyway...

the answer: my opinions on 4 brutal homicides may contain elements you disagree with, but im not throwing out cute quips trying to make people laugh over it 😬
