Exactly, they use them as an advantage against gun wielding enemies, they just have to run up and stab them. I'm not doubting that they know how to hold a sword, I'm doubting that they put any real training into dueling. Even if they do, no way it is anything even remotely as extensive as the Jedis melee training.

What really makes you think extensive duelling is neccessary?
Real life swordfighting is a matter of seconds. All that drawn out Star wars saber-dancing is really unneccesary. Two elites can pincer her with a simple charge and she'll go down. If she's quick enough to leap up and over them, they can still tear her apart. Really, she has no defense against their brute strength and ferocity aside from running like hell.
None neccessary. I just hate seeing this blatant jedi bias that has no grounding in logic. Elites are huge aliens strong if not stronger than Master Chief, who can break any one jedi with his bare hands. Now, lord knows I don't even care for Halo (And I fight Halo fanboys all the time) but I'm not going to rely on "feelings" and "appearances" but the facts. Facts are that Aayla Secura is a slightly above average jedi of small stature who is going to fight two formidable opponents capable of breaking her with their bare hands. I don't see her walking out of this fight alive.

OK, so she has none of her powers, I realize that. I thought he meant normal Aayla who wasn't using any offensive powers. So, no force jump, or precog, or speed? So basically, it's two elites versus some girl with a glow stick? Well then, you guys were right, I guess I was assuming too much. I was assuming that sense it was Aayla she had her precog and, well, skills. 2 Elites could take out Dooku, or Mace, or Yoda, or any lightsaber weilder (with the exception of General Greivous) under these conditions, correct? I just thought sinse a specific Jedi was named that they would be as able as they normally are, sorry.

Yes, it does, read the books.
Also, in the Books, elites are MUCH stronger than spartans, physically, at least. And the only reason master chief can take them out is because he has a reaction time of around 0.03 seconds, and his armor protects him and makes his weigh enough so the elites cant just toss him.
