Well, in the past, whenever they met/fought Drax was a hell of a lot dumber.... I'm reasonably sure Drax has a plan for taking him down... even if it means using Nova to help him do it

i guess it would be interesting to see for plot reasons, but by all means thanos should not get owned.

if any of them survive the annihilation wave.

i think that heralds + nova + new drax + possibly ronan = thanos is in trouble.

I'd be disappointed if they set up all this Thanos/Drax stuff just so Drax can take a beating. It has to be better than that.

I still say Drax is more like a Riddick character from Pitch Black. In the annihilation wave and the "bugs" that was almsot the same type setting in the movie Pitch Black and all he had was a blade as well.

Kratos/Riddick it doesn't matter he looks better and far more cunning then his previous incarnations.

I have a feeling that the chick that drax has tailing him is gunna get vaporized by thanos, which will set off drax, kinda like the ripping off of moondragon's ear did, but more directly.

just my opinion.

and i sort of want to see her get vaporized. 😈

Seriously, I think they're building up to 2 things: A Drax power up and a serious opponent for Thanos. I see him making an attempt on The Mad Titan's life only to get himself captured and experimented on. Thanos, after studying the physiology of The Fallen One, has figured out the biological application of Black Matter. He uses this knowledge to experiment on Drax in an attempt to create another herald but is stopped by Annihilus who'd always planned to betray Thanos anyway. In easily the best fight of the mini, they detsroy a good portion of Thanos laboratory, freeing Drax, who swears vengence on The Mad Titan as soon as Annihilus is dealt with. Marvel then attempts to tout this "new Drax" as Thanos nemesis for the next 5 years before reverting him back to classic Drax in the next great cosmic saga. The End.

sounds right, except for i think it is thanos that is planning to turn on annihilus. or trick him, whichever is easier. and then they'll fight.

and drax will make his escape in the commotion, OR manage to get a cheap shot in and (maybe) kill thanos.

not that i would be happy with that, but maybe. 🙁
