That is suprizing, I could careless about Civil War, but Anninhilation is keeping me interested and most importantly I want to read more.

me too after i blow it up. the dude has sort of outlived his novelty imo.

Oh c'mon, its not like hes Wolverine and appears in every comic put out by Marvel, he is very rarely used these days, and I don't see how he is a "novelty" as his character has been evolving for the past 30 years. Hes a very interesting character.

To each his own, but Civil War is much better than Annihilation.

Annihilation is fun to read, Civil War is fun and interesting to read.

That's not very nice 🙄 You will be getting a certain Canadian on-going from Civil war. Which you must be very happy about 🙂

Really surprising that it's not doing better than 44K, (down from 61K in Aug), cause it's really a much better story.

Not really surprising. Civil War has all the media hype plus Annihilation is headlined by C and D list characters.

A couple more pages of #4 previewed on Wizard:

I wouldn't say that Thanos, the Surfer, and Galactus are C or D list.

However, I see your point when referring to....I dunno...Drax, Super Skrull, Ronin, Nova.

Surfer and Galactus are hardly doing any thing, what with being imprisoned and all. The whole series seems to be mainly focused on giving the lesser known cosmics the spotlight.

Well I can definitely see Nova rise from a C or D level character, to a member of the Avengers in the near future, (if he isn't killed).

Annihilation #4 Preview if anyones interested....

Obviously spoils the first 3 pages of the book....

Isn't this EXACTLY what was posted four posts above you? 😬.

I would. If we're talking Nova or Super Skrull it's alot further down than C. Still, Accel is right though. Nova is the main character of the series.

Thanos and the Surfer, at the very least, are INCREDIBLY popular characters.

Galactus, less so, but still. He's at least recongizable and well known by damn near ANY marvel fan.

Ask them who Nova or Ronan the Accuser is, and they'll stare at you blankly.

Galactus? The giant guy in pink armor! At least he has pretty damn good name recognition, 🙂.

Galactus is a B and so is Silver Surfer.

They're not spiderman or Superman but they are still well known

HMPH....

Maybe that'll change after the next Fantastic Four film.

To me, A and B list are characters anyone would know. Spider-Man is A because everyone knows what he looks like, what his real name is, his wife's name, etc. Captain America is B list because everyone knows Cap but thats it. Surfer and Galactus are C list to me.

People know who Galactus is he was even made a paraody of on a Cartoon show on Adult Swim

Venture Brothers, Duck Dodgers, hell, I think even the Tick did a parody of Galactus.

Yes and Minorateam was another

Being in a parody doesn't necessarily make one famous. A lot of people who don't read comics may not even get the reference in those cartoons.

I do remember a parody of the Champion of the Universe appearing in Dexter's Lab years and years ago, but this was before I started reading comics, so I didn't get the reference at all.
