How do you think the fight would have went if Odin didn't pull out his weapon.?

Seeing as Gungnir doesn't amp Odin whatsoever and never has and at best serves only to channel the power that is his by default, it would have ended the exact same only perhaps taking a few more panels or perhaps another page or so to get there.

I can't even call it a win or loss.

I think of it as a 'No Contest'.

I don't think it was a stalemate, Odin was superior, but I think CC's analyses disputes the idea that Thanos was "stomped hard", which I've heard people describe the fight as. Mr.Master did a similar panel-by-panel analyses, and came to the same conclusion. Odin won of course, but was it a stomp? I don't think so.

I think that too. Odin was his superior but was it a stomp? Not IMO, but I don't think odin was going all out either.

We live in a funny sort of world where one injured character yielding to a character with no injuries at all is a "stalemate".

-Thanos was more hurt than Odin

-Thanos wasn't down for the count

If people can agree on those two points, I think everything else is pretty much splitting hairs.

YouTube video

Can Odin claim to have such a ballin theme from Capcom though?

Yeah, even a jobber like j'onn can shine someday. Though its DCnU so who knows?

He hasn't really jobbed in the DCnU, though. And he's quite a different character, overall.

Yeah, that was an awesome comic panel.

Flash was knocked off his feet;
MM is resisting WW's lasso;
Going intangible against the trident whilst using Martian Vision;
AND Green Lantern looks like he needs help from Cyborg to get out of the battle.

Forum J'onn finally exists?!

Rest in Peace Dr.Strange. http://www.universomarvel.com.aq/strange/Dr-strange-Galactus-2.jpg

Follow up panel. J'onn was testing the Justice League. Apparently they're not good enough

J'onn (DCnU) is what the pre-Flashpoint version dreamed to be while he was getting his buttocks pressed against every villain Superman was about to wipe the floor with.

^^^ Issue? I'd like to pick it up today.

It's from Justice League #8, but that's the only (double) page of that fight.

You're kidding me?! They splash paneled it?

Yeah, major f***king tease

Yeah, it was just a flashback - the actual story didn't have much to do with it, the JLA were just reminiscing about the last time they tried to invite a new member.

You also learn that Cyborg has kept his BFR Boom tube capabilities.

Ahh ok. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to jump in on this book while its still relatively fresh. With Mr. Terrific coming to an end, Blue beetle being light on depth it looks like I may just be down to Animal man and Stormwatch at this point. I do plan on giving Superman another look with Giffen taking over though.
