It's not really an admittance as it came out of Thor's mouth. Captain America agreeing definitely credibility because he's not one for pissing contents and is more tactical but if the Hulk made the original statement, it'd be much more damning. All that aside, we know Thor can easily defeat the Hulk if he so chose to.
Yea it sounds a bit like Cap was saying 'Whatever, don't have time to argue with you, were about to get into some serious shit but I'm glad you think that'.
Very funny.

Haha, from now on, it should be mandatory to add a caption box saying "The more heroes there are on one team, the less competent they become Marvel fans!"
To be fair the Hulks powers vary according to the situation, if hes fighting more people that could make him angrier.

Agreed.

Yea, somehow I doubt that's what Captain America was going for. There wasn't any obvious intent to mock Thor or placate him and as far as I know (At least based on his interactions with Thor), he isn't one to offer false praise or maneuver people that way.
I'm not taking this as conclusive evidence or anything, but Carver is a huge hypocrite if he doesn't accept this based on his previous claims based on a Banner comment.

Hulk said he had reached an all time anger high fighting Iron Man. Hulk was winning near the end but Iron Man held his own and essentially stalemated him (There's a scan missing where he blasts him in the face downing him) although he would have lost eventually.
It's not like Thor was significantly weakened in that issue, he beat the Executionar handily after trying to talk down failed and this is DeFalco we're talking about. We know his Thor is pretty formidable.
This is just another case of a team trying to reason with a single individual but failing, in part due to reverse ninja law. Hulk's not special, it's happened to other characters. And unless DeFalco thinks Iron Man > Avengers (Lol), the only logical explanation is the one obviously given to us by the writer to justify the situation.

Nothing shown proves Thor was pulling anything and Ironman hits did nothing to the Hulk as well.Hulk tanked a Mjlonir strike and overpowered both Thor and Ironman. Simple.
Thor bragging like he always tend to do doesn't prove anything. It would probably be a repeat of what happened in the Hulk vs Thor cartoon...a straight up beat down.
What? Hulk was definitely feeling Iron Man's blows but he was maybe only staggered momentarily by their onslaught. It's clear what the intention of the writer was. Defalco's Thor has beaten down Juggernaut with his fists and rocked cosmic entities. He was also a big on the entire holding back thing. I think his history as a Thor writer and the situation here paints a pretty clear picture.
You are such a hypocrite, all those posts about how damning Banner's recorded message to the Avengers was and now you brush this off and take a cheap shot at Thor?
I can no longer justify trying to have a discussion with you.

Rage, stop taking this so serious.
Hulk statement vs Thor statement is different. Banner straight up told them they couldn't stop him and they didn't even attempt at trying...allowing Hulk to go on a rampage leading to an amped Skaar being the brave one to tackle the Hulk.
In the comic where Thor states this, his hammer shots does nothing to Hulk and Hulk over powers Thor. Hulk also makes it sound like they can't stop him in the same comic...who word am I suppose to accept.? Thor or Hulks?
At least they acknowledge that a BFR is the only option Cap has against Logan. I thought it was funny that Wolverine no sells a 10,000 foot drop like it's nothing... and meanwhile Pym is nannying around Cap who can barely walk on his own after Wolverine tagged him three times (two of which were glancing blows).
