Most Strikes Landed, Captain America.- Captain America: 3 (4, if you count the "Shield-tox" facial work Cap gave Logan while he was still groggy from being hit by Giant Man)
- Wolverine: 2 (3, if you count Logan attempting to cut off Cap's arm. He did not try "slashing the shield grips".)
Conviction-Level of Combatants-
- Captain America- Strategic/Non-Lethal, 80% Serious, only going for the BFR: Never intended to harm Wolverine. As usual, Cap had it all planned out from the start, just to temporarily get rid of Logan. Cap played with him.
- Wolverine- Lethal, 100% Serious, Non-Berserker: Was totally serious, with 2 attempted "kill strikes" and a slash attempted to cut off Cap's shield-arm. (see below).
[Kill Strikes-
For future reference, it cannot be said that Wolverine was not serious.- 2 of Wolverine's strikes were attempted "kill strikes".
- 1 Disembowling Slash (landed, but shallow)
- 1 Claw Lunge to chest/throat (missed)
- 1 Non-Lethal, Maiming strike to Cap's Shield-Arm, (glancing)Speed Performance-
Faster Combatant, Captain America.Captain America:
1. Catches Logan with first strike.
2. Able to bring his shield up for defense.
3. Able to immediately strike Logan again.
4. With a Slashed Abdomen, is able to easily dodge Claw Lunge, retrieve Shield and throw, for a strike to the back of Logan's neck. (That's pretty quick)Wolverine:
1. Able to slash at Cap's shield-arm during mid-swing.
2. Immediately able to connect with sidekick after shield-slash melee.Damage-
Slight edge to Captain America.[]
1. Both faces are bloody.
2. Cap has slashed abdomen and arm.
3. Logan is shown to be shaky as he stands, hunched over in the panel where he asks Cap, "You seriously think you can take me?".
4. Cap must have done some serious damage to Wolverine if Giant man was able to easily sneak up on him from behind and pound him.So, I see Captain America, not only as the winner, but out of the two of them, he clearly was not intent on even harming Logan.
Captain America- Victorious.
Wolverine- Disgruntled.Oh, I almost forgot...
CA- "Hey, Logan! What's that on your face?!"
W- "Wha?"
CA- " You Hairy, Little Ba$tard!"

Yea pretty much, theres also the fact that Wolverines powerset makes him the harder opponent to beat. You could pretty much deduce from that fight that Cap is much more skilled and could beat him one on one.

Cap will ALWAYS be the kind of opponent that has the edge in strategy, discipline and skill.
He had an edge over Wolverine because he is written to see every conflict as a "chess-match" and has usually, already figured out what he and his opponent will do, move for move.
Even when he is outclassed.
In essence, he's a lot like Captain America. 🙂
