It just doesn't seem possible to own a masochist!! IT'S AN OXYMORON!!! Careful, Igniz. You're getting DANGEROUSLY close to crossing Divide By Zero territory. If you cause a singularity that sucks us all in, I'm comin' after you.

How?If the comic is canon and in continuity, and in the present, then how is it savage hulk?
He can't be currently both Savage and Green Scar.

The first issue of Avengers Assemble does show the current Avengers roster (e.g., Red Hulk is shown). Brevoort (editor of the this book) said it takes place before the AvX event. It seems all over the place because the writing and dialogue are pretty bad.

lol as I expected, Carver is taking the feat and running wild with it.Anyway, any real or halfway decent comic book fan would agree that that comic was shit, not because feats or power levels, but due to Bendis' basically saying "Phuck what you know, I'm going to write these characters how I feel like it, characterization be damned".
Hulk, Thanos, and Thor are got their dialogue and characterization raped by Bendis.

I guaren-damn-tee that anyone wanting a plausible explanation as to why and how Thanos and Starlord (and maybe Nova) survived the events of TI is going to be horribly disappointed. This is literally designed to draw in fans from the movie and cash in on them. It being in continuity is a clever ploy not to alienate the fans who regularly do read comics. That is, until they actually read it.
Absolutely right. The most pathetic thing about all of this is that condescending answer that Brevoort gave to the fan that questioned the continuity of Avengers assemble. Thanos rolls into town, the ensuing dialouge is a jumbled mess as one minute we get the impression that they've only just met and then boom! Iron man has full files on him. Then out of thin air poof, the Guardians of the Galaxy show up complete with a very much alive Drax the Destroyer and some blonde guy who is not Starlord. Yet somehow Brevoort is taken aback that fans are confused and questioning continuity? I mean I know they werent crazy about the sales of Marvel cosmic and all but did he honestly think that we didn't read any of that stuff?

Actually it's Green Scar in this series. I know, he talks like Savage Hulk with bits of intelligence thrown in but it was stated a while back that it was the Hulk from his main series. Bendis just butchers his dialogue.Nah, only guys like Carver enjoy this shit, by that I mean Pak fans and not actual Hulk fans. Unfortunately that lot isn't smart enough to figure out that Thor just looks bad, Hulk doesn't look good, not when Iron Man puts up a better fight and Hawkeye looks more effective. The only ones who benefit from this are the DC f*gs.
I don't get why anyone would enjoy Thor being treated as the cannon fodder strong man unless you straight up dislike the character. Me personally, I want Thor to beat Hulk to near death with his own fists and embarrass him once or twice. That's just to even the scales, from there they can get back to the classic slug fests that made their rivalry awesome in the first place. No problem with Hulk eventually taking the edge in close combat only for Thor to counter with Mjolnir plus.
Did you read the Mighty Thor this week? I only honestly can't get through the entire comic anymore, Fraction's not even trying at this point.
Could have fooled me. I know the series is in continuity, especially with Thor referencing Asgardia instead of Asgard, but Bendis' writing is just an utter mess. The fact that people have to keep asking if it is canon only speaks volumes over the quality of the title.
Pretty much. It's the same principle as wrestling, really. If someone jobs out to make someone else look good, the person who "won" doesn't look awesome; they just beat someone who looked like crap. If they really wanted to put Hulk over Thor in a fight or scuffle that means something, all they have to do is look at their classic scuffles penned by people who actually gave a damn.
I barely read comics period anymore. Both DC and Marvel straight up disappoint me. Once a month, I catch up on anything significant from either company.
