He was also holding his own against Cyke and took Colossus out of the fight for a bit as well. The damage came when all of them dog piled him.
Also, all of the things that his son (and the writer) stated that Gladiator has done with his fist was hell of impressive.

He wasn't holding back though. Him and Gladiator talking during a scuffle doesn't mean that. Gladiator matched him and then blitzed him. Thats when the others came and assisted.
He was holding back. He was actually trying to turn Gladiator rather than put him down.

Scott had to flare up to overpower Glads beam so that gives Glads auto props but.......a 1 shot is plausible for Glads because that shot from Colossus left him in very bad shape. He was in no fighting condition after that.
That stuff Kid Glad said was the stuff we already knew or heard about.

Cyclops flared up but it still didn't get pass Gladiator heat vision. It seemed like Gladiator was already out of the fight before Colossus punched him. Some of the fight took place off panel.

He matched a holding back, non-Phoenix channeling Cyclops, sure.
