You know you can't physically rip apart a black hole, right?

You'd need some kind of reality warping for that.

Comic book physics ftw

Depends on what part you're talking about.

isn't it obvious? 😕

one min gladiator is punching cylops and next few panels his face is phucked and colossus and namor are getting shots in.

Depends on the canonicity, tbh. There was a time when he was genetically enhanced, sort of a Kryptonian "Captain America". Then there's the whole "descended from Rao" thing too.

It doesn't hurt that Superman knows how to use his powers better than any other Kryptonian.

And there's the "been soaking up solar rays longer" explanation.

When was it explained that he was genetically enhanced?

I know he lost, but that was impressive for Gladiator. In the first panel he laid Colossus out with a monster haymaker with Namor and Emma nearby, then the scene cuts away to Warbird vs Emma and when we next see Gladiator his cape is shredded. I think he was taking on Namor and Colossus (which led to his uniform/cape being damaged), and that part at the end where the two of them are beating Gladiator down is retribution for that initial chin check he gave Piotr and whatever else he did before we see him catch Warbird and stand off with Cyclops. I wouldn't call it a 'feat', but Gladiator showed heart against overwhelming odds.

I think it's Oracle (at one point, iirc, she was Gladiator's wife. She's a telepathic member of the Imperial Guard).

Pretty much. Glad everyone is seeing this. Majority of that fight took place off panel.

Of course he did; I'm just wary of people that are going to try to turn it in to some bullshit "he stalemated the Phoenix" argument.

I think it was during the John Byrne years, the whole birthing matrix thing. I'd have to check.

Really, I did not know that.

I recall Manta being his wife in that alternative reality "Exile" run.

Depending on how you view Kallark you can look at the showing in one of two ways. He gave a good accounting of himself against a superior opponent(s) but eventually went down. Or he showed some fake hustle. Meaning he looked like he was doing something, but in reality he did nothing of consequense other than to delay the inevitable.

This has always been the explanation that made the most sense to me.

The Phoenix Five have been one shotting everyone and their grandmama...Glad facing the lot of them and them putting s fight in to take him out shows a lot.

it was a good showing for gladiator IMO, rocked colossus , fought off panel colossus and namor, then took beating from all of them combined and still didnt give up, but i got to tell you some loser of a son he got to stand there and let his father getting smashed like that, that scene made me lose any built up respect i had for kid gladiator.

Lol what the hell? You clearly missed the scene where kid gladiator was incapacitated before he could jump into the fight.

😂

i didnt miss out the scene where his bodyguard bird was holding him off, his dad is getting smashed and he is letting that feather head stand between him and helping his dad

Not to be racist, but I can't tell you two apart.

All green people look alike to me.
