I'd have to agree. At first I thought Kubark was a stupid idea, but I actually like the fact that Marvel is expanding Gladiator's story to be a fuller tangent analogue of Superman's mythos. I'm hoping they have a storyline where more Strontians are introduced. Maybe have Gladiator's father be a Strontian military scientist along the lines of Jax-Ur rather than Jor El, and introduce the Strontian equivalent of Daxamites.

Depending on how you view Kallark you can look at the showing in one of two ways. He gave a good accounting of himself against a superior opponent(s) but eventually went down. Or he showed some fake hustle. Meaning he looked like he was doing something, but in reality he did nothing of consequense other than to delay the inevitable.
Half full/half empty.
All things considered, I take it as a positive for Glads. Sacrificed himself in order for his son to be recovered (which is a bit of a plot hole, honestly. Shiar have teleporters, and there's really no reason for Gladiator to take on all 5 X-Phoenix's for dolo like that). He held his own for a short time until Colossus and Namor got the upper hand and South Central'd that ass. Colossus amp must be pretty high end at this point because back in the original Phoenix Saga when he and Gladiator squared off Colossus didn't really phase Gladiator at all. That punch shown drawing blood was pretty damn brutal, and I'm sure Gladiator rocking him with that power shot a few panels before made him relish that ass whoopin he and Namor put on Glads. They beat his ass like they hadn't been friends/allies before and he'd stolen some money.

I think Glads does have some other type of power to do things like that. Like the Baxter building when Reed was saying Gladiator powers were psionic in nature. Also when he contained that solar system destroying blast. He has other powers.
This is actually... a somewhat reasonable post from Carver.
Wow. 😕

you are kidding me right? not helping his dad while his dad was slaughtered is fine just because kid gladiator could have been killed? are you serious?

My views of him as a character began to change after WoK when he finally shed that "duty bound just following orders mentality". It was a very important part of his growth as a character imo. I still don't like how Nova gave him a pass for wrecking centurions like he did during WoK by drafting him into the Annihilators. But that's war for you I suppose.

Nova Prime made a similar assessment about Strontian abilities when he fought Xenith .
Although I still say that him actually ripping apart the accretion disk of a black hole(and thus making it seem that he ripped the black hole itself) is a more plausible explanation .

It would have said accertion disk instead of black hole if he just ripped the accertion disk.

Did you read what I just wrote down ? To a less knowledgeable mind , the accretion disk of a black hole can appear as the black hole itself . And its not the narrative which said that , it was Kubark . Kubark is no physicist(or at least a Shiar equivalent of physicist) , trust me on that one .

It was the writer that confirmed what Gladiator son seen him do which again proves that it was more than an accretion disk.

Where did Jason Aaron confirm Kubark's statement ? Links , or it didn't happen , and is one of your BS attempts to turn unverified/unconfirmed hyperbole into an actual feat .
