I don't necessarily agree. Jean herself said that they hadn't touched each other in months, and with the Phoenix re-emerging, it wasn't as if she had time to worry about her marriage. By that same token, Scott was having real trouble reconciling who he was with how he was supposed to fit in to his marriage. Why do you think it wasn't in character? If you don't want them to be apart, fair enough, but this was something that was built up over years of issues as an inevitability. It wasn't just out of the blue.
Marvel has an issue with long-lasting couples in a lot of ways. So you don't think Scott is good enough for Emma? Really? Even though he's been proven to be especially attract
ive to telepaths?
I don't really care about Jean/Scott one way or the other I just think it could of been handled better, Jean doesn't run from her problems she certainly wouldn't of put them on the backburner. I'm not saying they didn't have problems what I'm saying is prior to NXM I can't think of the "build up over years of issues" unless you can point me in there direction. Besides the occassional Wolvie thing Jean and Scott were doing ok.
I just found it odd Jean'd spent months looking for Scott found him and then saved him they were on the road to getting things back on track. Then comes NXM and they hadn't touched each other in months the simple fact that Jean didn't try and help Scott figure out the darkness that he'd felt was OOC especially when she knew better han anyone what that was like.
I thought the fact that he'd trun to Emma someone who'd regardless of her road to redemption had only been at that point responsible for negatives things in his life. The fact he didn't go to Xavier when he like Jean better than almost anyone knew what it was like to feel out of place and have your darkest thoughts realized. And no I don't think at that point Emma would have even noticed someone like Scott, its not about if he's attracted to her, the fact beside being spiteful to Jean I can't think of a reason she'd want to help Scott. he wasn't a student and even then he was too easily manipulated for her to take notice in IMHO.
And to be quite frank I think what made the "interesting" coupling of Emma/Scott not believeable is that in order for them to be together not only did Jean have to die but she even gave them her blessing, it would have rung true if they'd decided to go their separate ways, I heard around that time Bendis wanted her for his New Avengers anyways.

I don't agree, tbh. And I thought it was handled very well; they were actually written like a grown-up couple. NXM WAS the build up. That arc was several years long.
i can see why, but there is the point that Scott was altered by his time fighting Apocalypse. He wasn't the same guy he had been before. Again, that's mostly due to NXM, so ymmv.
Emma was a qualified marriage counsellor/sexual therapist. One of the key reasons Cyclops and Jean were having problems was an intimacy issue. It's not really something he could talk to Xavier about, and with how things were going with Jean, It would have been counter-productive in his eyes. He's afraid to talk to her about certain things, so it's not like he can talk to her about them.
Disagree. Joss Whedon made them interesting after Morrison did, and I thought it was handled very well. They were a believable couple imo.

why do you say that? Ive read TONs of comics
DCNU Black Adam JUST showed up and he is looking for the wizard NOT Superman. He is about to fight Captain Marvel so I really don't understand where you got the idea that Superman killed him. They haven't even met yet. You're not serious though...I think you intentionally try to get under people skin.

What is this from? If she winds up killing or pummeling Wanda to a bloody pulp, Hope will have redeemed herself in my eyes!
Has Hope appeared in any of the recent Marvel NOW promos? Her absence makes me wonder if she'll actually make it out of the whole mess alive. And that's Kubert drawing the last issue, right? Hmm. They should have went with Coipel.
