Oh of course it was because prior to NXM Jean and Scott was in such a bad place, though he had changed it wasn't something that would of ended their marriage they'd gone through trials before and this was just another one. Whether you like Jean/Scott or not lets not pretend that their breakup was organic or in-character. Emma did what she did with Scott to get at Jean and ended up falling for him.
And its odd you'd use the line "Marvel just doesn't like them together, it seems" when thats the sole reason Jean/Scott were broken up. In what world would someone like Emma notice much less take the time and interest of knowing Scott Summers.

I don't necessarily agree. Jean herself said that they hadn't touched each other in months, and with the Phoenix re-emerging, it wasn't as if she had time to worry about her marriage. By that same token, Scott was having real trouble reconciling who he was with how he was supposed to fit in to his marriage.
Why do you think it wasn't in character? If you don't want them to be apart, fair enough, but this was something that was built up over years of issues as an inevitability. It wasn't just out of the blue.
Marvel has an issue with long-lasting couples in a lot of ways. So you don't think Scott is good enough for Emma? Really? Even though he's been proven to be especially attractive to telepaths?

lol.
With Emma, she used to telepathically make people think she was sleeping with them, when she wasn't, like in the First Class movie if you've seen it.
