J.H. Williams, III, who also does part of the writting too.

I'm curious about this ...he was in the sun and in the next panel he is on earth before he finishes thinking. FTL?

I doubt he would have waited 8+ minutes to continue his train of thought there.

He has been getting faster of late, and if he's pushing himself in speed and in strength, then it would make sense.

Looked more like he was in the center of the earth, came up through the crust, and flew to the sun. I'd have to see the previous page.

Yeah, he went from the center of the Earth, to the surface, to the Sun and back to Earth all in one page. Couldn't been more than a few seconds unless he randomly stopped his train of thought at different points. He then flew back to Earth in moments.

That's way faster than light speed. DC was so adamant about Superman getting depowered, guess Lobdell didn't get the memo. I personally have no problem with Superman operating on this level but I don't think it will mesh with other titles. You can't have Superman wrestling with planets then get into a tussle with Wonder Woman who can maybe knock over a building. Well, I guess you can, but it takes me out of the comic a bit.

Am I imagining the comments from editor(s) and writer(s) about reigning in the power levels? From the interviews I remember, one of the main differences was the initially lower power levels.

You really don't remember any of this? I guess I can dig up the quotes if I must but it would be much easier if someone who actively keeps up with DC news could point me in the right direction.

Cute.

I was hoping for a less powerful Superman, TBH. 🙁

That was due to Mat Idleson I suppose. Now he's gone from edititing superman.

You are forgiven.

I know he was less powerful because he was young, but I don't recall anyone saying that when he was fully grown he would be weaker.

Not saying they don't exist, I just didn't see them that I recall.

They finally got rid of that prick?
