Hulk has been mind controlled<again> he is about to attack helpless member<insert some Avenger>
Thor states he has had enough of the foul beast and can not stand anymore.
He then jumps in front of Hulk, and allows himself to take the vicious beating meant for random avenger member cause Thor knows...
Thor knows it's his new role to take the most vicious beatings, the beatings no one else can survive. Cause he's the punching bag the Avengers need just not the one they deserve 😛

Damn, I think hickman and the artist have gotta try and float that past marvel editorial nowadays. I bet they throw out any drafts that make thor look good in any way and tell them to start over until they get the message.

I don't even think you can call him The Worf anymore. He's more like The butt monkey now.
On a side note, here are more umm.. interesting comments from Breevort. Earlier on, he stated that, in his opinion, only Thor (and Thor alone) should be able to lift Mjolnir, despite the fact that others (e.g., Cap, Beta Ray Bill) ALREADY HAVE done so. Hmm..
In his second response, he goes on to say that what he personally thinks (as an editor) doesn't really mean a whole lot. Must be nice to have that job.
Damn, Hulk one shots Thor again? Cheapshot or no Thor never used to drop so easily.
That aside Avengers looks quite promising. Not sure about reverting Hulk back to his Savage persona seems a bit of a backward step but looking forward to buying Avengers again now Bendis has left. Hope these villains are a genuine threat to the roster and don't go out like Thanos did in AA.
