I like how the Hulk's threat level is so low, they don't even bother to tie him up

Just pointing out the facts.

Your facts are wrong.

No they're not, Hulk was one of first Avengers they overpowered and it looks like he's the only one they didn't bother to tie up.

Thor needs an upgrade. I don't think its a low showing getting one punched by Hulk, its his other showings that's questionable.

Read Thor's comics.

Or comics in general, yeah.

So, Savage Hulk is back and Banner's now part of the brains trust of The Avengers? Sad really, so much development just wiped away. Banner is supposed to be hostile towards Reed & Tony, surely he should only be working with them conditionally.

As for Hulk one-punch KOing Thor, nice-ish feat. Nothing all that surprising, given what Hulk's done in the past.

Him being unconscious later on (three days later) suggest that they must have "switched off" his consciousness.

Wonder why Banner can't give way to the Green Scar persona, that one was completely resistant to mind-attacks.

Overpower or Mindcontrol? Writers are mind controlling the right person because he is a team buster. Why control Thor when Hulk will be there to take him out with a single hit? The best person to get control of would be Hulk since he can knock Thor the hell out (which has happened more than once recently) and take on the rest of the Avengers. Like I've stated, your myth doesn't make any sense.

Hulk's 'one hit' ko's on Thor have always had conditions and context to them.

Hell, Hulk being controlled or manipulated has been a trope of the character for years.

Savage Hulk, yes but even then with qualifications.
Hulk's more evolved persona (Green Scar), was explicitly depicted as being beyond mind-control for Xavier and other high-end mind-****ery experts.

It's because they've brought back Savage Hulk, that they can completely ignore the way Hulk's been depicted against mind-control for the past several years.

The best person to control is the Hulk, because he's the weakest mentally.

It's painfully clear and obvious why they have brought back Savage Hulk and basically said "phuck it" to the Green Scar persona and the development Hulk's gone through (to say nothing of other characters in the Avengers).

Marvel's never shied away about whoring out the movies (even the good ones) and having them effect continuity and how the characters are portrayed. Which is a shame because Pak's run, as feat whored as it was, developed Banner and Hulk considerably character wise.

I don't care about Savage Hulk mind...I'm liking what his fist is doing.

it doesn't really look like thor had a part in it. for all we know it could be the after affects of the mind attack that took out hulk

Let's assume Hulk one shotted Thor and went on to faint. Don't think they'd bother with all of that shit if the telepath was strong enough to just shut down the Hulk's mind outright but I guess we'll see.

Whatever, agree to disagree and so on.

So, basically, you could give a shit about the character or his persona and how it's been developed or ignored, so long as he has feats?

Somehow, I'm not surprised.

I'm betting Carver liked this depiction of the Hulk and in the first issue of Indestructible. Despite the fact that he was a mindless brute, with almost no characterization.

Unfortunately, I actually like Green Scar. I don't want Hulk to revert to being dumb despite the nostalgia I feel for the Savage Hulk.

Was there a page missing from Guy's scans or are we assuming Hulk beat up Thor then took a nap because he was bored?

I suppose there are two ways to read it.

One would be that they had a fight, Hulk got KOed and then Thor got wrapped up by the plants.

The other would be that Hulk KOed Thor and then that chick who was mind-controlling him put him to sleep. Personally I'd lean towards the latter based on the presentation, my own Gamma allegiance, and the fact that Hulk wasnt restrained with the others seems to indicate he is still under enemy control.

He sounds a lot like Abhi.
