Marvel was amped by one of the seven sins there. On the very next page he was manhandling adam like a child and absorbed his powers while Johns portrayed adam as stronger than marvel at standard level.

Yeah, it was addressed as her being AT LEAST as strong as diana while being mindcontrolled. They are all around the same same strength level but diana is weaker than both.

Cap needs to take Thor off to the sidelines, and give him a lecture about 'meeting your time', and 'being responsible enough to call it quits', while he wells up with tears and tells Thor that his services are no longer needed as an Avenger. Then he'll promptly ko Thor with a sorrowful right hook as he leaves him unconscious in a safe zone, away from all the danger.

Thor wakes up several minutes later, as Donald Blake, with Mjolnir nowhere to be found. And a cane laid in front of him with a sticky note with Cap's handwriting, "I'm sorry..."
