She wasn't stronger, she was just as strong. When Wonder Woman stop holding back, she owned Powergirl.

Yeah, both Mark Waid and Gail treated her as stronger than WW. Catching her punch like nothing was the dead giveaway.

WW said that PG was AT LEAST as strong as her. Considering how fangirlish Gail simone can be that only means she treated PG as stronger. PG was mindcontrolled and diana used her fighting skills.

It was never stated in that fight that PG is stronger. If I remember correctly, didn't you say Captain Marvel and Diana are around the same strength?
