In truth I never liked the origin where splinter is hamato yoshi. I always thought it was better (albeit ridiculous) when splinter was his pet rat who was subtly influenced by watching yoshi practice.
Also, Splinter in the new show is awesome.
I find turning yoshi from a human to a humanoid rat really phucking weird. The other way is just silly, but this way is just a horror story. Your life as a human is done and your now a human rat forced to live in the sewers for the rest of your life. You'd think Splinter would be alot more depressed 😂
