Venom was a beast in 90s. He even gave the juggernaut a concussion, he hits harder than the godblast. Check out how thor did against spidey who is noticeably weaker than venom. You already saw an amped surfer getting his shit pushed in by spidey which is BTW his best showing against web-head. He was "fighting for his life" in his first fight and in the third fight a holding back spidey stalemated a bloodlusted surfer.

These are canon unlike superman vs venom.

It's funny how some fans will get so rattled by non-canon nonsense that they'll jump to rationalizing it by highballing the offending character and lowballing their character's perceived rivals.

You shouldn't put much into these fights though (Amalgam Marvel vs. DC) they were fan votes. Not even I would be seriously arguing that Spider-Man > Superboy.
