It doesn't need to be any modern suit considering how the older ones fared against various foes. Even when not controlled by Tony. (---> Rhodes).

Don't get me wrong, I love Hulk - but wrecking IP suits is not some crazy feat. It's too easy for him. Emphasis on "too".

Actually it does, because - like I said already - IP armor was missing ESSENTIAL repulsor tech, among other stuff. Which - at its high showed around the Bendis era of events - was functioning as a great factor for Tony's armors. It even enhanced Pepper to the point she could beat Madame Masque in h2h.

He had better forcefields, better overall durability, etc.

Ares who got pwned by Hulk in 1-2 panels twice easily beat AI controlled armors, too.

Iron Patriot's armor sucked ass compared to classic red and gold era Iron Man armor, let alone Extremis/Bleeding Edge armor.

Tbh, just putting Norman into the armor would increase it's durability ten fold. Still very impressive. I think Hulk can rip Iron Man in half if sufficiently motivated yea, that was never in doubt, but there's a significant difference between that and treating it like cannon fodder.

I would hope he'd be in it, but I could see where the rumors come from. If Thanos goes down in Avengers 2, they'd need a villain to top him for the 3rd one and I don't know who that might be.
