Also sorry for replying to your post. Just thought I needed to clarify.

The best way to handle your frustration and show you understand I find is to vent it into a random forum with a copious amount of hardcore anal

I remember the time when Deadpool used to be cool. Good times indeed. *sobs earnestly*

There's two reasons.

Odin was worried because of exactly what is happening right now, with things really screwing up due to Thor losing the axe.

And, it would have caused a full blown war with the Celestials, and when the only thing you have that can do anything to one member of an entire race is an axe? That's not very wise.

The Apocalypse twins have shrunken an entire galaxy down to hide from everything. The Celestials however can literally close off portals to Asgard. Asgard would have been smashed to pieces.

I understood that, but Odin ended up going to war against the Celestials anyways. Unless you mean the entire race descending on Asgard.

I think the biggest issue is that if Asgard has a spell that can render Celestial defenses moot, why not place it onto the Odinsword. Imagine what the Destroyer would have done if it was armed with such a weapon for example? But I digress, this shit is not supposed to make much sense so whatever.

I'm far less optimistic about their chances now.

Who's the artist in that scan though?

It's a mere theory, and it's not like the damn thing would even actually end up destroying the universe. We don't know for sure whether there was no metaphorical, faustean style price involved or not though. Odin was freaked out when he discovered that Thor enchanted it, and I am not sure that doing something which would only have the end result of a couple of dead Celestials(something that shouldn't bother Odin so much anyways) is a logical reason for Odin to go into a viking manstrual period. When Odin himself couldn't do the same? The Destroyer had its chance against the Celestials, and it lost. Horribaly so. Unless you want to depend on some future writer retconning that entire storyline, it's silly to argue that the Destroyer would be a threat to the Celestials.

It's barely gone to 9 or 10 issues at this point. And the Celestials proper haven't even responded to the Apoc Twins' transgressions yet. There's enough leeway for Remender to add some extra spice to Jarnbjorn during that time.

Alright then, fair enough. Like I said, Odin was worried for this exact reason. Celestials are being assassinated like flies by the Twins. Based on previous hints, I think the entire race my descent on the 616 or something.

What kind of nonsense logic is that? If it's revealed that Hogun is suddenly the most powerful being in the Multiverse, is it silly to argue he'd lose to Thor because he was beaten soundly before? The Destroyer can access far more power based on recent revelation. Heck, it even seemed to be able to hold the energy of the World Seed.

That's possible.

From a comic perspective, it'd be too easy. And the enchantment is taboo anyways, so even in the unlikely situation that Asgard once again went to war with the Celestials, I doubt Odin would go about blessing his entire armory with his Celestial-busting blood.

They've fallen from grace, that much is true.

Except for the fact that this Hogan example of yours doesn't match up with the strongest on-panel incarnation of the Destroyer getting slagged to death by the 4th host. There is no conceivable way that Thor on his lonesome within the Destroyer is going to bust up the Host, irrespective of whatever additional amps he's carrying. Unless it's the something to the effect of the combined power of all the godly pantheons(both Earthly and alien) stuffed into the Destroyer. What does the destroyer being a storage unit for the Worldheart have to do with anything?

Are you not reading my post? The armor had a brief of far more power theoretically.

Ironically, that's what actually happened. The Destroyer absorbed energies from all the pantheons.

I just mentioned it because it seemed like the Destroyer was able to handle it's energy.

Closed because a few f*cking idots can't stop bickering.

You're lucky I didn't see this when I closed the thread. When I say take it to a PM that's what I mean. It doesn't mean reply when I ask for no replies. Next time you'll get a lesson in why a mod will always get the last word.

The only people who will be getting in-thread warnings are people who haven't caused problems before.

The rest of you will get warned without a post and possibly temp banned. If some of you can't stop whining about your favorite characters getting owned in the Character Ownage thread then unannounced warnings and bans will help cure you of your fanboy rage.

This isn't a debate thread, it's an ownage thread. So griping about context, or what happened in a following panel/issue has no relevancy here.

Don't know, issue focuses on wolverine and the kids.

If possible, can you post the Wolverine scene? Always good seeing him in action.
