That was a gud arc. Loved the ending pages with all the interaction among the 3 Thors.. Sad to see Ribic is leaving.. Hope Garney kills it.

But yeah.. THor basically tanked the thing that was killing all gods of creation in all time.. Geez!

The Thor arc basically conviced me that lots of writers actually post on these threads.

Grek Pak is Carver
Scott Lobdell is Abhi
Jason Aaron is definitely Rage

Thor has been portrayed as an uber-powerhouse in the arc. Pretty good stuff.

Rage is wanking off to this issue as we speak.

Given what the God-bomb was capable of, that is a massively.... ridiculously.... absurdly impressive showing for Thor, 2 Mjolnirs or not.

Yeah, its a ridiculous showing. Thor was amped though, so Aaron gave rage something to masturbate but he can't use it in battle feats. The irony is delicious.

Not entirely true.

Having 2 Mjolnirs clearly helped him absorb the god bomb's blast/effects, but it's obvious he didn't stop there. He went ahead and absorbed the damned thing into himself. That in itself is feat-worthy(usable in battle feats). Can't believe ure already in ure lowball stance. Then again I shouldn't be surprised.

It's much more different when he uses Mjolnir to simply absorb energies.

Anyways... Derailing of thread over....

Literally just uploaded that...

Anyway, MM has been ridiculous in the JLA books.

Anyone have scans from Infinity: Against the Tide? Surfer just speedblitzed and killed several Aleph robots.

Surfer was pretty bad ass in this issue. Haven't seen him look that good in a very long time (that art is amazing!)

Infinity is off to a great start. Then again, most crappy events are.

The only difference here is that Hickman is in charge.

Glad that he's back 👆

Good TP-resistance showing for Mr. Boltagon:

Yup, at least he's appearing in a comic doing something other than be a cook.

As ever, Mjolnir's energy soak is better than anything in mainstream comics, until you reach maybe abstract level. Even if it took two hammers for the above feat, it's actually not out of character for him. He has 1-2 other feats that are similar in level of absorption. Good to see it's not forgotten.

Awesome Surfer art. That's the beginning of an event?

It's a tie in to Infinity.

Where Thanos is attacking Earth or something, and the "Builders" (new enemies) are dismantling Skrull/Kree/Space Knight worlds. Huge potential for awesome.

Also possible disappointment.

Goddamn, this issue was epic.

Also ridiculous feat for Thor. The God Bomb was killing every God who ever lived and will live (For the record, Gorr was targeting the Kings of Hell too, pretty much every kind of deity) simultaneously throughout time and Thor used Mjolnir to absorb it all into himself. He not only somehow survives the process but then he turns it into a weapon.

The greatest God who ever lived indeed.

Rage, did you actually cum in your pants when you read this issue, or at the very least get a semi?

And yeah, I'm not even a Thor fan per se, but GoT is still one of the best all-around series' I've ever read. The plot, dialogue, artwork, coloring, etc. are pretty much as good as it can get. 'tis a spectacular series.
