I doubt Mark Waid would write anything lowish about surfer. He's rather consistent about power levels. But he wrote that Thanos vs Ka-zar fight.

when Starlin debuted Infinity Abyss, a mini-series that revealed that Thanos had created an army of clones and it was actually CLONES of himself that appeared in previous issues.

It's funny how he was also dismissed as only a clone by Starlin.
