I'd do the same if I were Jim. When you made your name with a particular character (well, at least partially), I wouldn't let others drag him down without a fight.

Its very surprising that Atom had such a good showing against Superman by the way they were pushing him. Meh, everybody has some bad showings. It was bound to happen.

Lol...I didn't even think about it like that. What I did think about is...

Atom killed him twice. One time in the recent Flash/JLA movie that came out and in injustice.

We also know that it doesn't take anywhere close to planetary let alone continental power to kill him. Imagine Thor hitting him in the face with World shattering blows.
