In his very first real battle, Thor's already owning chumps:
More skilled then Wonder Woman. 😛
Pretty cool seeing Thor's senses and awareness being played up:
"I could hold lightning in my hand. I could sense every drop of rain. I was the rain. I was everything. I was connected to the entire Universe."
To lazy to post all the scans again so here's the link:

I'd be fun to see a younger Thor in the modern day Universe. This is another comic where he comes off as more powerful when younger. Lack of restraint I guess.

Nice. Good to see that it's been officially confirmed. Of course comics being comics, he'll still get cold-cocked by some random laser beam that he didn't see coming or some such.

Avengers: Endless Wartime.Too many scans to post everything so I'm posting the ones with Thor only. It's okay, but feels like a Bendis comic. Pretty disappointing since I expected quality work from Warren Ellis.
found it hard to believe that was Ellis. Dialogue was off. Characters were widely rdidculed (ironman, hawkeye), while being the usual avengers memebrs with the current outfits Steve seemed like he got out of nice yetserday and hulk still has issues with "the other guy" part of him.
All in all it took no regard to continuity

While there's nothing inherently bad about that, in this case, it couldn't be further from the truth.

It felt a little like they were taking their cue from the movie Hulk.
I liked that Hulk was somewhat articulate, you never know nowadays. Also cool that S.H.I.E.L.D. sent Hulk to stop The Avengers and depicted him as a very legitimate threat to them.
Didn't like Banner being so subordinate to S.H.I.E.L.D. that he gave "their speech". Banner needs a little more self-confidence (and not of the cocky, owning Beast & Stark without effort kind).

I suppose there are worse books out there, however it seemed way off compare to the titles I'm picking recently (avengers, infinity, thor etc). in any case it seems to me they are trying to make the book characters seem closer to the movie ones rather than the other way arround

Banner wasn't himself in the dialogue he had, it was too passive and lacking in smugness. Under Waid he's been smug and/or aloof whenever he's not been the lean, green, smashing machine.
And Waid's Banner would definitely object to the very notion of a government controlled super weapon to "defend" NY in the absence of The Avengers.
The whole reason he struck his deal with S.H.I.E.L.D. was to leave a positive legacy, not to build weapons or just destroy stuff.

I don't really know. Cap couldn't use a coffee machine and he was amzed at how fast the quinjet goes. FFS the guy has been to space more times than i've used the underground
Originally posted by janus77Which is why Banner tricked S.H.I.E.L.D. when he snuck into a bathroom and stuck a dozen Clonidine patches on his chest to prevent himself from Hulking out against the Avengers and instead of fighting them, helped them.
