If it was Hulk gripping him like Mongul did in this scan, Superman probably would have turned to dust.
You're actually an idiot.
How is it that the Longshot saves the Universe stuff is canon?
So far, it seems to be a case of cosmic cube created alt-reality. I don't think alt-realities are canon, are they?
As far as the Hulk feat goes, Order is quite deliberate in attributing the expenditure of _most_ of his powers to the containment of Hulk.
He probably would have killed Hulk, if he could have done so without greater expenditure of time and effort, but just containing him consumed over half Order's powers.
Also, bit of low-showing for Banner. He's credited with designing hilariously compromised SHIELD guns.

It's definitely canon to the 616-verse and using the 616 characters according to the writer:

"CA: So, it’s not a sardonic title? He’s actually going to be saving the Marvel Universe.
CH: Yep! This isn’t Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, it’s not Marvel Zombies. This is the Marvel Universe proper, though we may be bringing in characters from other universes! It could be Longshot Saves the Marvel Multiverse! But it’s not."

"Geek: Is this series going to tie in closely to Marvel continuity, or is it more of a stand-alone story?
Hastings: The series takes place right in the middle of current continuity."

The cosmic cube didn't create an alternate reality, it just split the Inbetweener in two and the Order and Chaos halves have been running wild since. It's still the 616-verse and characters (apart from the ones summoned by Chaos in #3 which were explicitly noted as coming from other timelines).

Well Order was a bit more generous to Hulk than "most" or "over half"... what he originally said was "nearly all" of his power was needed to restrain the Hulk. Dr Strange noticed how much energy was being used to restrain him and assumed that it must have been the Chaos half of the Inbetweener that Order was imprisoning.
So yeah it's a pretty excellent showing for Hulk's dynamic power IMHO.
Cheers.

Hulk ... has matter manipulation powers which allows him to turn Kryptonian cells into dust?
mmm
You're joking, even as I'm sure Carver was joking, but, historically, DC has produced scenarios that would be indistinguishable from what you describe results-wise (IF taken to ultimate completion of action, that is; which they seldom if ever are).
Substitute the phrase "matter manipulation powers" for "strange radiation energies" in your sentence above, for instance, and you have one of the premises of Daring Adventures of Supergirl #21 ...
GODDAMMIT! What the **** is wrong with DC?!
It's bad enough Pak is writing Batman/Superman book, now they just handed him Action Comic too?
Same shit with Lobdell with his Superman and Action Comic run.
Action Comic 19 and 20 had such hope after Morrison left and it was taking over by Andy Diggle, Tony Daniels and matt Banning.
It seems that DC just don't care about the Superman title anymore when they let mediocre writers like Lodbell and Pak runs amok.
It seems that the only Superman worth reading anymore is Unchained and Superman/Wonder Woman.

Calm down, son. Both of Pak's books are selling well, so he draws in a decent amount of sales for DC. The internet is a loud, but small voice. Most people seem to be enjoying it.

Pak's Action Comics has been very good so far. In fact, Action Comics 25 was probably my favorite Superman issue of the entire DCnU so far.
