that event kinda ruined the ultimate universe comics. Sure they had a few good series afterward but nothing as good as ultimates volumes 1 and 2.

It was more than just that. The Ultimate U had several excellent titles in the early going. Spider-Man was great, FF was great, X-Men was even decent (though still annoyingly angsty at times).

Although ultimate spiderman was part of the ultimate universe it always felt very detached. Sure the ultimates and fury would cross over but always felt like its own thing. Its why when the ultimates went to hell fans could easily drop them but not ultimate spiderman. Hated ultimate x-men. I thought ultimate FF was ok.

I agree. I loved when the Ultimates came out. And kept loving it all the way up to the Thor/Loki confrontation. Those were the glory days for U universe.
