Love Superman, he's my all time favorite Superhero. First comic book character i've ever read, and still to this day have the comic in storage, but damn it, he is so damn square.I miss the day when Superman was breaking bad guys jaws left and right, beating husband that beats on there wives, and being a total bad ass. That whole Jesus thing is the reason people hate the character so much, and DC needs to stop writing him like that. Give him a little more depth as a character.
Don't get me wrong, i don't want him to turn into another Batman, but instead give him more than a just it's my way or the highway mindset of thinking.
Best ex. was in Sacrifice. He was a straight up ******* to Diana after Diana saved his life. He was willing to destroy yrs of friendship for some shit like that. Diana did the exact same thing he did went he first fought Doomsday, she went for the kill.
Another thing, he has no qualms about killing a being like Doomsday, or Emperiex, or Dominus, but cries and ***** when Diana killed Lord.
****ing double standard douche. 😠
Sorry for hijacking you're pic ahbi. Promise to make it up to you. 😛
...What?
Leviathans are phucking tough.

So basically,
Spoiler:
if Firestorm detonates not only will all of the heroes imprisoned within him be destroyed, but it'd be like setting off a second big bang and the entire universe would be destroyed. Man, Johns loves writing FS as a universal force.
Oh, and
Spoiler:
Deathstorm can effortlessly muck with DNA, but evidently making k-nite is beyond him-- so he's currently trying to sway Ronnie into helping him do so.

Freaking sucks how they kill off Batmans son, then within what a couple months, they kill Logans. SMH feels like comic writers are just REALLY afraid of letting their characters grow.
If writers had free reign there would be change all the time. You're mistaking literary risk for financial risk. The status quo is their business model. If you want true growth, escape the Big 2.

I read plenty of stuff from image (my current favorite company) but I feel like they're just being lazy. Its comics u know? If its the owners and whatnot calling the shots then whatever, I guess stuff like that is all out of the writers hands.
Some. It's a collaboration most times, but execs undoubtedly have veto power. But mass audience dollars don't give a **** about Batkid and Emo-Logan. They're writer toys and a means to give the main character more depth. They're also expendable. I'm not saying money dictated these particular decisions. But it also wouldn't have been the force to stop it.
Originally posted by DigiTrue but the level of frustration depends entirely on the character in question. Characters like Cap, Superman, WW, or the FF can stay relatively close to their status quo but Spiderman, Thor, Nightwing etc not so much. I for one am not a fan of an eternal loser Peter Parker.
