Where do you rank him compared to Vertigo's?

He was very powerful in Vertigo as well, but he rarely dealt with mainstream characters that can be accurately gauged from a power standpoint. For that reason, I'd probably put DCnU Constantine higher-- DC is making it abundantly clear that he is THE top dog where mysticism is concerned.

That dead spell he did to fool the Blight was pretty bad ass. Fooled the living embodiment of evil.

More impressive still was when he downed Blight with a spell, and was preparing yet another spell that could have killed Blight outright had Nightmare Nurse and ST been able to hold him down a bit longer.

There's also him manifesting the Seven Seals barrier, force-summoning/imprisoning the Trinity of Sin(this was the second time he summoned Phantom Stranger against his will), peering into the minds of every person on earth that has ever lived-- he did this along with ST and NN, stealing the power of Shazam, tooling Mr. E, Dr. Midnite, and Tannarak. Etc. Etc. Etc.

He does something uber in pretty much every single issue he's in.
