You're ****ing joking right? Collateral damages in comics have being around for a long as time, let's not blame Synders in his so call shitting on comics crap.

Whedon love the guy, but he did the same shit in Avengers, and no one cried about it as much as the hate Synder received for MOS.

Synder actually made MOS more real with all of the collateral damages. Let's be honest here, if Kal was able to save every building in his fight against Zod, i would have called Synder the biggest hack there is. No way, two power houses like Kal and Zod fighting and not lay waste to the environment.

Also want to add that we didn't see a single person in that building die, could have been evacuated. The fight seem calculated.

I completely agree. Personally I think the complaints about that aspect of MoS is one of the stupidest things ever. People calling Supes a sociopath are utter morons.
