What good showings has Dcnu Superman had against magic anyway? I can't think of any. Kinda sad though that there is ANOTHER knock against Nu52 Supes. Seems DC won't be happy until he has no good showings and each comic is just a bunch of people talking about how powerful Superman's battered corpse is.

I don't know what to think of DP vs. Carnage...

If that fight took place in a Deadpool comic, you can safely ignore it. Anything that takes place in a Deadpool or She-Hulk comic aren't meant to be taken seriously even in "comic book" context.

Doesn't work like that Zop. We don't ignore showings when we want to. Kind of like the Thing and Namor fight. We should safely ignore that, especially due to context but, some people just can't seem to grasp how powerful Namor is and tend to lowball him based off "one showing".

I guess that CISless She Hulk with prep destroys Banner because she picks a comicbook and rips it apart ermm

This is what happens to She-Hulk outside her PIS/CIS infested comic :

That's called "Ownage". It happened again during AvX so it's not a fluke.

Same with Deadpool.

Cool. Here solo series' are canon though(same with DP.) Your dislike of them notwithstanding. 🙂

So what do you think Galan? Are any good showings against magic that DCnU Superman have invalid now because of this new revelation?

After all, the millions pf people that concentrate psychic energy on him aren't around in a forum setting. mhmm

He just cracked PS' body and that's what you think of?

😂

Shouldn't that be considered a power of his then?

Like how the Serpent's power was related to fear in people?
Superman's power is augmented with hope and prayer?

👆

Or like Uncle Sam's powers working on the believes of US citizens. His powers don't disappear in a forum setting.

That's an insane feat considering Stranger was able to take Spectre trying to squeeze his life out and put him on his ass with one punch in the last issue.

And is Rage is trying to say that everytime Superman has a good showing against magic, that was due to that psychic power and the same psychic power disappeared the moment he had a bad magic related showings?

I can't help but laugh at that.

Also Superman's willpower is so strong that he drove all the spirits back and sealed a crack in reality.

😱

Also Stranger's physical form took several attacks from Spectre in a battle that was endangering the whole of creation under the same writer J.M Dematteis.

And then put Spectre on his knees.

God himself had to intervene due to fear that the whole of creation would've been destroyed.

Its an insane showing for superman. Leave it to Rage to lowball such a showing.

For a dude whos posting career in this thread has consisted mostly of posting out of context scans and shit of other characters looking bad, you'd think you'd be able to handle some tongue-in-cheek better.

.

I was just kidding around.

But to clarify: It has nothing to do with him, its the ideals and hopes of millions giving him a mass of psychic energy. Take the people away and it's no longer there.

The Serpent fed on fear and attained new levels similar to Superman and the Sun. This latest scene is akin to all the times Thor prays to Odin and gets shit granted. Or that time with TOAA. Thor's actions are the catalyst of the power but it has nothing to do with him truly and is independent.

Superman's power isn't augmented which is why it's not really applicable. If he could at least tap into it or something maybe I could see some extreme scenarios. Otherwise Superman's public symbolism affords him a mystical shield/weapon. Which is stupid since he's done horribly against magic and it means that everyone from the President to Wonder Woman might have something similar. Anyways this isn't the thread for it and I was messing around.

It's a new mini that just started, DP vs. Carnage.

Honestly, Cletus did better than expected.

Shouldn't Cletus just destroy him? Conventional weapons usually don't work on him at all, he's up to spider-man's speed, he can make weapons out of the symbiote and he's somewhere in the 30 ton class range.

Not too many people can just take a grenade in the mouth.

It's not a good showing, but it's one of those "weakness" things, somewhat akin to when Dick Ryder beat Annihilus.

Really? I expected DP to keep getting his ass handed to him throughout of the miniseries and only pull a win in the final issue.

Zop I like you, you're a good poster but right now you're not making any sense. DP's never been able to beat anyone because of his 4th wall breaking abilities or even use it in a combat, his books are mostly humorous but never to the point where he starts defying physics or logic, no more than other comicbook characters that is, and his performances in his own series are often worse than in team books. He's just good.

Carnage is not too good against fire and explosions. He's mostly immune to sonic attacks while Venom has good fire resistance but weak against sonics.

He pulls all kinds of stuff literally out of his ass, that's defying physics.
